[UPCM InSPIRE Magazine]

"Telehealth, artificial intelligence, generational culture shifts, and political and economic determinants affect health, care delivery, and outcomes. Medical education must remain responsive, appropriate, and anticipatory of these changes. Medical schools should keep pace and be at the forefront of groundbreaking technology and well attuned to the sociopolitical shifts."
— Dr. Angela Sison-Aguilar
Faculty Editor-in-Chief of INSPIRE

"Inasmuch as hierarchy remains to have purpose, the changing landscape of society today presents opportunities where improvements can be made, in order to ensure that hierarchies are actually accomplishing their purpose. This is not to say that all forms of stability should be removed; rather, it’s a call towards alleviating the unintended consequences of hierarchy, and ensuring its effectiveness is maximized."

"Now in its 50th year, the UP MSS – emboldened by its four core values of camaraderie, openness, well-roundedness, and service – continues to uphold the same ideas those young men and women back in 1973 believed in: that a doctor is still every bit a human being, both fallible and noble, and his humanity must be nurtured all allowed to grow, just as he strives to be perfect in the science of his profession."
