Senate should now investigate the national ID fiasco.

The Alice Guo investigation has run its course. She's in custody, and further action should be left to more appropriate government agencies. Let the filed cases proceed through normal legal channels. Instead, the Senate should focus on issues that directly impact Filipinos' daily lives.

Scrutinize the troubled national ID project. Countless Filipinos still await their physical IDs.

Lawyer Elmer A. Galicia may face suspension or even disbarment from the practice of law. Galicia notarized the counter-affidavit of Guo on August 14, purportedly in the presence of Guo. Galicia is not alone in his absurd claims. Stephen L. David, counsel of Guo, asserted that Guo "is still in the country," citing his conversation with her on the morning of August 19.

According to AJ Alfafara, convenor of the Divorce Pilipinas Coalition, allowing absolute divorce in the Philippines would promote equality: "Patas na batas para sa lahat ng Pilipino. The Court of Appeals' decision on March 20, 2024, gave the Land Transportation Office the green light to resume production and issuance of polycarbonate plastic driver's license cards to the public. The ruling of the Court represents a victory, not only for the LTO and its contractor Banner Plasticard but also for the public, which has been inconvenienced by the deceptive tactics employed by AllCard.
