A Poem from Unwise Voters
We cast our ballots, loud and proud,
Chasing echoes in the crowd.
Promises glitter, bright and bold,
Truths forgotten, stories sold.
We cheer for faces, not for plans,
Clutching hope with trembling hands.
Blind to nuance, deaf to doubt,
We let the loudest voices shout.
Facts dissolve like morning mist,
While slogans twist and coexist.
We trade our futures for a name,
Then wonder why it stays the same.
Yet still, we march, election day,
Believing change is just one play.
Perhaps one day, we’ll truly see
That wisdom lies in scrutiny.
