Earlier this month, I received an ARC of Love in Hollowed Spaces courtesy of Ms. Beatrice Pobre. To say I was looking forward to reading it is an understatement. How could I not when I loved The Town of Perpetual Autumn so much? 🍂🍁

Reading this novel was as wonderful as it was heartbreaking. It is a thoughtful mix of love, growth, difficult choices, and letting go. As the story unfolds, you find yourself constantly reevaluating the characters and their decisions. One moment you're rooting for them wholeheartedly; the next, you're questioning their choices and wondering what you would do if you were in their place.

What I loved most was how deeply human the story felt. The emotions, uncertainties, and conflicts linger long after you've turned the page. It is the kind of book that gently asks difficult questions and trusts its readers to sit with the answers.

More than anything, this novel reminded me why I love reading local indie authors. There is something special about stories written by people who understand the places, culture, and quiet details that make a place feel like home - whether it be a place or a person. Love in Hollowed Spaces carries that same sense of familiarity and heart, making it a memorable read from beginning to end.

The fallen brown leaves and fire tree flowers reminded me so much of St. Stephenshire and all the coziness of this book. If only I, too, can meet Sal, her cats, and sip a coffee at Willow's Web.

Finally finished this one after xx days. Never really anticipated the ending but somehow the story lingers. It's so ordinary. And relatable. I'm happy to know that in one way or another, they found peace in their ordinariness.

Will still be posting about this book in the days to come.
