IBALIK MGA PARKE AT IBANG PAMPUBLIKONG PASYALAN!

Habang patuloy ang mabilis na pag-unlad ng mga siyudad, naniniwala si Sen. Mark Villar na hindi dapat kalimutan ang pangangailangan ng mga bata para sa mga ligtas at masayang lugar kung saan sila maaaring maglaro. Ayon sa kanya, panahon na upang palawakin ang mga child-friendly spaces—mga parke, playgrounds, at iba pang pampublikong pasyalan na magsisilbing daan para sa mas masaya at produktibong kabataan.

RIVER CONTROL STRUCTURE TO PREVENT FLOODING IN ALAMINOS CITY, PANGASINAN

Residents near the Alaminos River in San Jose, Alaminos City, Pangasinan, are now protected from the threats of flooding with the completion of a river structure project by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

The spillway and other projects CONNECTING the various major waterways in and around Metro Manila must be revived and/or revisited. This is where the so-called "political will" comes in. Those from various areas of expertise will agree on this: kung walang dadaluyan ang tubig, aapaw at magbabaha.

Bukod sa kasulukuyang administrasyon, singilin po natin ang mga MAYOR ng Metro Manila LGUs at pati na rin Rizal, Laguna, at Bulacan. Kapag hindi po nagtulungan ang mga lider, maglaan ng budget, at hindi gawan ng agresibong paraan ang problema ng baha, ay hindi po mawawala ang delubyong ito para sa mga Metro Manilenyo.

The devastation of was neither shocking nor surprising. No amount of flood control projects will remedy this. No, this was not the fault of reclamation, the data does not support it. No, this was not just the pumping stations and esteros of Manila City or Pasay City or the deforestation of upland Rizal Province at fault. We have a BIG problem in Metro Manila...a GARBAGE problem, and a DISCIPLINE problem.

No government, law, program, or system will change this.
WE ARE THE ONES who must change.

Papasok na naman ang tag-ulan, gaano nga ba tayo kahanda?

Nasa 11,340 flood mitigation structures ang naisakatuparan sa ating bansa noong panahon ni Pangulong Duterte sa pamumuno ni Senator Mark Villar na dating DPWH Secretary. Subalit hindi pa rin ito sapat dahil marami pa rin ang lugar na binabaha. Kaya naman panawagan niya sa pamahalaan, patuloy na gumawa ng mga flood control infrastructure.

SALUDO PO 🫡 Agree po kami diyan at napag-iwanan na po talaga ang mga kanal at floodway natin, sa Metro Manila at iba pang highly urbanized area. Sana po maipagpatuloy ni PBBM ang nasimulan ng administrasyong Duterte.

Napakagandang mungkahi mula kay Senator Imee R. Marcos at sana hindi pa huli ang lahat dahil nagsisimula nang umulan. Sana malinis ang mga dam, kung hindi ay isa na naman yang dahilan sa pagbabaha ngayong parating na tag-ulan.

RIGHT OF WAY, ANO AT BAKIT ITO MAHALAGA?

Alam niyo ba na napakahalaga ng right-of-way o ROW para maging matagumpay ang mga proyektong pang-imprastraktura ng ating pamahalaan?

Pero, ano nga ba ito?

Ang ROW ay isang legal na termino na tumutukoy sa pagkakaroon ng pahintulot o access sa lupa para sa iba't ibang layunin, tulad ng pagpapatayo ng riles, linya ng kuryente, pasilidad ng telecom, o mga pipelines.

Sa ilalim ng RA 10752, o Right-of-Way (ROW) Act, ang pamahalaan ay maaring makakuha ng karapataan sa isang property para sa mga proyekong pang-imprastraktura sa pamamagitan ng donation, negotiated sale, expropriation o iba pang modes of acquisition.

Napaka-importante nito upang maiwasan ang anumang problema.

Ang pagbibigay-prayoridad sa pagpaplano at pagkuha ng ROW ay mahalaga rin na factor para matapos sa tamang oras ang mga at hindi masayang ang pondo na inilaan dito.

Ayon kay Senator Mark Villar, nakilala bilang mahusay na dating kalihim ng DPWH, kailangan na magkaroon ang pamahalaan ng ROW committees at maging involve ang mga LGUs para ma-resolbahan ang mga problema o issue mula sa ibaba, upang mabilis na maiakyat ang mga proyekto ng pamahalaan na magpapaginhawa sa buhay ng mga Pilipino.
