VILLAR: HOLD CONTRACTORS ACCOUNTABLE FOR FAKE GEOTAGGING

Senator Mark Villar strongly asserted that contractors who use fake geotagged photos as part of government project documentation must be held accountable. For him, such actions are clear acts of fraud and abuse of public trust.

Villar emphasized that submitting fake project documents is a serious crime and insisted that those involved must face heavy penalties to ensure that this kind of scheme will not be repeated at the expense of taxpayers’ money.

Mahalagang tandaan natin ang alituntunin sa kung sino ang may pananagutan sa gastos kapag may tagas o sira sa linya ng tubig.

- Kapag ang tagas ay nasa loob ng inyong bahay o after the water meter, ito ay itinuturing na customer’s responsibility. Ang gastos para sa pagpapa-ayos ay sasagutin ng konsumer.

- Kapag ang tagas ay nasa labas ng inyong bahay before the water meter (main pipeline), ito ay sakop ng water provider. Ang gastos sa pag-repair ay sagot ng provider.

Sa ganitong paraan, mas malinaw ang hatian ng responsibilidad at mas mabilis na matutugunan ang anumang isyu sa suplay ng tubig.

WE NEED MORE WATER STORAGE FACILITIES! 💧

Rapid urban growth, silted dams, and decades of limited planning, even at the barangay level, mean we can’t store enough water to meet rising demand. Climate change makes it worse: longer dry seasons empty our dams, while heavy rains bring mud instead of more usable water.

ANG DAMING NASASAYANG NA TUBIG! 🫗

Ayon kay LWUA Chairman Ronnie Ong, “Umaabot tayo sa halos 488 milyong cubic meters ng tubig na nasasayang kada taon.”

Dahil dito, maraming lugar ang kulang sa malinis at sapat na tubig araw-araw at ito rin ang isa sa mga dahilan kung bakit nakakaranas ng water shortage ang buong bansa.

The spillway and other projects CONNECTING the various major waterways in and around Metro Manila must be revived and/or revisited. This is where the so-called "political will" comes in. Those from various areas of expertise will agree on this: kung walang dadaluyan ang tubig, aapaw at magbabaha.

Bukod sa kasulukuyang administrasyon, singilin po natin ang mga MAYOR ng Metro Manila LGUs at pati na rin Rizal, Laguna, at Bulacan. Kapag hindi po nagtulungan ang mga lider, maglaan ng budget, at hindi gawan ng agresibong paraan ang problema ng baha, ay hindi po mawawala ang delubyong ito para sa mga Metro Manilenyo.
