CORRUPTION AT BIR
National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Jaime Santiago presents to the media two Bureau of Internal Revenue personnel for direct bribery and corruption during a press conference at the NBI headquarters in Pasay City on Oct. 1, 2025. The complaint filed by Hitch Park Solution Inc. alleged that the suspects offered to fix the company's tax obligations by reducing the assessment to P800,000. They proposed that only P200,000 would be covered by an official receipt, and the remaining P600,000 to be placed in a separate envelope and delivered to the suspects at their office in Taguig City on Sept. 29.
