There are days when we feel unworthy of God’s attention. Our mistakes loom large, and we expect judgment. Yet this psalm gently reminds us: “The LORD is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.”

Think about that—God doesn’t just love in small measures; He abounds in it. His mercy stretches beyond the limits of what we can imagine, covering not just us but “all that He has made.” The sunrise, the air you breathe, the food on your table—all flow from His goodness.

The shepherd’s heart is on full display here: patient, compassionate, and kind, even when His sheep wander. That’s the God we serve—one who will never tire of reaching out, restoring, and embracing.

So when guilt whispers that you’ve gone too far, remember: His mercy runs deeper than your failures, and His love is steadfast, unshakable, and forever.

Stand Firm – Your Work is Never Wasted
1 Corinthians 15:58

Life can sometimes feel like an endless cycle of effort without results. You pour yourself into ministry, love your family sacrificially, pray faithfully for someone, or quietly obey God when no one notices—and yet, the visible fruit seems small or even non-existent. In those moments, Paul’s words are like a warm hand on the shoulder: “Stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”

This verse is not just a motivational slogan—it’s anchored in the greatest hope: the resurrection of Jesus. Earlier in the chapter, Paul explains that because Christ has been raised from the dead, our own resurrection is sure. That means every act of love, every hidden prayer, every step of obedience, every tear shed for His sake is eternally significant. Nothing is lost. Nothing is wasted.

Standing firm doesn’t mean life will be easy; it means you’ve decided that Christ is worth holding onto—no matter the winds of doubt, discouragement, or distraction. Giving yourself fully to the work of the Lord means not holding back out of fear, convenience, or self-interest. It means living with open hands and a willing heart, trusting that God sees every bit of it.

One day, in His presence, you will see the full picture. You’ll see the seeds you planted bloom in ways you never imagined. You’ll see how even the smallest acts of faithfulness were threads in His beautiful, eternal tapestry. Until then, stand firm. Keep going. Keep giving yourself to His work. Your labor is not in vain—because He is alive.

Fear Not, Stand Firm

The Israelites stood trapped — the Red Sea before them, Pharaoh’s chariots thundering behind. Dust clouds rose in the distance as soldiers drew nearer, their weapons glinting in the sun. Fear gripped the people. Their shouts to Moses were filled with panic, not faith.

But then Moses spoke:
"Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will work for you today."

Moses wasn’t blind to the danger. He saw the sea. He heard the chariots. But he also knew something greater — the God who had split Egypt with plagues was not about to abandon His people now. This moment wasn’t for running or bargaining; it was for trusting.

God’s instruction was simple: Stand still. Don’t thrash in panic. Don’t scheme an escape. Just watch what I will do. Moments later, the impossible happened — the waters parted, a dry path appeared, and salvation came in a way no one could have imagined.

Your “Red Sea” may look different — a problem you can’t outrun and a future you can’t see. But God’s command remains the same: Fear not. Stand firm. Watch Me work. You may not see the path yet, but the God who rescued Israel is the same God who fights for you today.

Don’t Worry About Tomorrow
(Matthew 6:34)

It was a quiet morning. I sat on the porch, coffee in hand, watching a little sparrow hop along the fence. She seemed busy, flitting from twig to twig, singing as if the world was perfect. She wasn’t fretting about where her next seed would come from, or if a storm might roll in later that day. She simply lived, one moment at a time.

And I thought of Jesus’ words: “Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things.”

We tend to carry tomorrow’s troubles today. We rehearse what-ifs, stress over the future, and forget that God has already been there. The sparrow isn’t careless—she just trusts. She knows her Creator will provide.

What if we lived like that? Not ignoring our responsibilities, but resting in the truth that the One who holds the sparrow also holds us?

So today, let’s sing instead of sigh, trust instead of tremble. Tomorrow can wait—because our Father already knows what it holds.

Maria sat on her porch early one morning, coffee in hand, watching the sun climb over the horizon. Yesterday had been rough—loss, stress, and prayers that seemed to bounce off the ceiling. As the light spread, she remembered Psalm 113:3: “From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, the name of the Lord is to be praised.”

It hit her: WORSHIP isn’t about how we feel. It’s about WHO GOD IS. The same God who painted that sunrise would still be worthy when the sun set. From start to finish, every single day, His goodness doesn’t change.

That night, Maria watched the sunset burn orange and gold. Nothing in her situation had shifted, but something in her heart had. She’d remembered: no matter what happens between sunrise and sunset, GOD IS ALWAYS WORTH PRAISING.
