YES YES YES YES YES 🙌

This popped up on my FYP. And it hit — what a privilege to live the things I once prayed so hard for, even if they feel ordinary now.

“If you’re here to call me ‘pangit’ ‘ulikba — “

It took me years to fully accept myself — the way I look, and even the way I speak. There was a time I’d film content but skip anything that required me to talk.

No sit-down vlogs, no voiceovers. Just fashion content, all glammed up — nice outfit, good lighting, zero audio. Because honestly? I hated my voice. I hated how I talked. But I never faked it. Ganito talaga ‘to. And I’ve made peace with that.

I don’t do these vlogs for clout, likes, or validation. I do them for me. This is my way of unwinding after a long day, nakakapagod maging sa totoo lang.

Me creating ukay vlogs in my pambahay, no make up, is my way of showing up for a small community that actually gets it. 🫶🫀❤️‍🔥

So if you’re here to call me ‘pangit’ ‘ulikba’ and even nitpick how I talk or how I sound — I hope you find a better hobby.

Because I’m finally learning to take up space, and no random comment is gonna shrink me back down.

There’s something so special about meeting someone who understands the thoughts you’ve never said out loud. Yung wala kang ibang masabi kundi: “GURL SAME”. 🥺

To all my “strong girls,”

Not everything was handed to us easily.
We’ve had to fight — for our place, our peace, our voice.
(Sis bear hug, with consent.)

We live in survival mode — always holding it together — and yet no one notices. Because to them, we’re “the strong one.”

We’re the jack of all trades, carrying more than we should, juggling everything at once. And sometimes, it’s all just too much. But we do it anyway — not because we want to, but because we have to.

“I have to be this, that, and everything in between”
— because no one’s coming to do it for us.
It’s always been us.

Alone.

We’re the strong ones — but also the ones who feel the pressure to smile the brightest, be the warmest in the room, just so no one misreads our silence or misunderstands the real us.

What they don’t see are the quiet battles we fight when we’re alone — the demons that try to dim our light, the tears we hide, the moments we break quietly, out of sight.

And that’s why it means everything when someone finally sees us — the us beneath the strength, beneath the smile. When someone understands the unspoken storms and gently reminds us… “Big girls don’t cry” was always a lie. Feeling it all doesn’t make us weak. It just makes us human.
