OUR WARMEST CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TOP 10 FINALISTS OF SINE KABATAAN 🎉

After a rigorous selection process, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) proudly unveils the Top 10 Finalists of this year’s Sine Kabataan Short Film Lab and Festival 2025.

These outstanding young storytellers are moving forward to the final lab— the ‘Editing Lab’— where they will engage in an intensive one-on-one mentorship with industry professionals. Each finalist will also receive a production grant of Php 200,000, released in two (2) tranches to support the completion of their short films which will premiere during the Philippine Film Industry Month.

To all the aspiring filmmakers who submitted their stories to this year’s Sine Kabataan, thank you for your passion, creativity, and commitment to Philippine cinema.

Out of over 200 outstanding entries from across the Philippines, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) proudly announces the 𝗧𝗢𝗣 𝗧𝗪𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗬 shortlisted projects for the 𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗟𝗮𝗯 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹!

These talented young filmmakers are now about to embark on an exciting journey—starting with an intensive 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 & 𝗣𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗮𝗯, led by some of the most respected names in Philippine cinema.

After refining their stories, the 20 projects will face the ultimate challenge: the 𝗣𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲, where they will present their polished concepts to a panel of esteemed industry professionals. From here, 𝟭𝟬 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 will emerge as the official Sine Kabataan finalists.

Each of the top 10 finalists will receive a 𝗣𝗛𝗣 𝟮𝟬𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 to bring their visions to life and will continue with 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗘𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝘀, leading to a showcase of their completed films during 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵.🎉 These films are set to contribute to the vibrant future of Philippine cinema and inspire emerging storytellers.
