MOMENTS OF PRIDE | Nagtapos man ang buwan ng Hunyo, ngunit hindi rito nagwawakas ang mga panawagan para sa pagkilala, pagtanggap, at kalayaang ipagdiwang kung sino ka.

Dahil ang Pride ay hindi lang basta pagdiriwang. Panata ito—ng pag-ibig na hindi palulupig—ng pagkataong hindi dapat pinipilit na itago nang dahil sa takot.

Tuloy ang pagsulong sa panatang ito laban sa dahas at diskriminasyong hindi dapat nararanasan ng kahit sino dahil sa pagpapahayag kung sino sila.

Taas-kamaong pagpupugay sa sangkabaklaan—sa lahat ng patuloy na lumalaban, umiibig, at nabubuhay nang buong tapang.

“ANG PRIDE AY ISANG PROTESTA 🏳️‍🌈✊”

MGA LARAWAN | Libo-libong miyembro ng LGBTQIA+ community at mga ally ang nagtipon sa University of the Philippines – Diliman sa pagdiriwang ng “LOV3LABAN 2025: Pride Festival,” kasunod ng isang makabuluhang pride march bitbit ang mga kulay ng bahaghari nitong Sabado, Hunyo 28.

Kabilang sa mga panawagang itinambol ang pagwawakas sa diskriminasyon at inhustisya sa komunidad ng LGBTQIA+, pagsasabatas ng SOGIESC Bill, at pantay na pagtingin para sa lahat.

Ibinida rin ang pag-alala sa Stonewall PH, ang kauna-unahang pride march at pride revolution sa bansa at maging sa buong Asya.

ICYMI | Vernadeth Magno Villanueva of PUP Bataan Campus tops the June 2025 Special Professional Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers - Elementary, placing 9th with a rating of 83.80% as per the results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) yesterday, June 27.

PUP Bataan produced two new teachers, achieving a 100% passing rate, higher than the 55.69% national passing rate.

ICYMI | PUP Sentral na Konseho ng Mag aaral (SKM) Councilor for Athletes' Welfare and Sports Development Noriko Wade D. Alsisto submitted a resignation letter to the student council today, June 25.

In the resignation letter, Alsisto cited reasons behind the decision, which include the inconsistency of council members, micromanagement, and the recently concluded Rainbow Fest 2025 event.

Meanwhile, Alsisto assured that the remaining tasks of the AWSD Committee will be coordinated with the committee secretaries to ensure that no tasks are left unfinished before stepping down.

LOOK | Long queues of students formed this Monday afternoon, June 23, at the side of the road along Teresa street in front of the PUP Main Gate, following the recent demolition of the nearby tricycle terminal.

On June 16, the PUP Office of the Student Regent (PUP OSR) announced that the tricycle terminals operated by the Hippodromo Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (HITODA) would be cleared to make way for the ongoing renovation of the Philippine National Railways (PNR).

HAPPENING NOW | The PUP 2025 Pride Fest commences today, June 23, with the opening remarks of Open University System (OUS) President Student Council Mark Dave Bolima where he amplifies the call for the passage of the S*xual Orientation, Gender Identity, Gender Expression, and S*x Characteristics (SOGIE SC) Equality Bill, which remains stalled in Congress.

This is followed by a solidarity message from Atty. Renee Co of the Kabataan Partylist who highlights other pressing issues such as the imposition of dress code which hinders their self-expression, access to healthcare, and the need to dismantle the machofeudal system.

The PUP Rainbow Fest invites the PUP community to join the event today at the PUP Gymnasium.

BREAKING | The Office of the University Registrar (OUR) has clarified that graduating students may proceed with their Application for Graduation even if their grades for the Second Semester of A.Y. 2024–2025 are not yet available.

This clarification aims to address concerns from students who may be waiting for the complete release of grades before applying, and encourages them to move forward with their application.

Students with complete academic records from first year up to fourth year, first semester, are eligible to apply.

The online application for graduation across all colleges and campuses was reopened from June 16 to June 20, 2025.

ICYMI | Polytechnic University of the Philippines Student Regent-Elect Troy Cabangon officially took his oath today, June 17, during the Second Quarter 2025 Regular Meeting of the PUP Board of Regents.

The oath-taking was administered by Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner and PUP BOR Chairperson Ethel Agnes Pascua-Valenzuela.

In a Facebook post, outgoing 18th PUP Student Regent Kim Modelo bid farewell and expressed her support for Cabangon on his first day in office.

"Above all, thanks to the students for trusting me to be your representative in our highest governing body," Modelo wrote.

Cabangon is set to serve as Student Regent for Academic Years 2024–2025 and 2025–2026.

LOOK | The Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) ranked third among 27 research universities in the Philippines with fewer than 100 Scopus-indexed publications in 2025, according to Global Health Focus.

The ranking excludes six universities listed in the Times Higher Education (THE) rankings, namely UP, Ateneo, De La Salle, UST, Mapúa, and MSU-IIT.

As of June 11, PUP has produced 53 Scopus-indexed papers—already halfway toward its goal of reaching 100 publications by the end of the year.

Global Health Focus is an international initiative with the aim of developing critical thinkers, leaders, researchers, and innovators through its popular emerging leaders’ program in global health, research capacity building, and the creation of knowledge and evidence for translation to global health policy and practice.

Kasabay ng pagdiriwang natin ng ika-127 anibersaryo ng Araw ng Kalayaan at pagkilala sa sakripisyo ng masang nakibahagi sa mga makasaysayang pag-aalsa, nawa’y patuloy nating paigtingin ang paglaban sa mapang-aping sistema, tungo sa isang kalayaang hindi para sa iilan lamang, kundi para sa lahat, mula sa anumang anyo ng inhustisya.

Gamitin natin ang ating boses at lakas sa pagtaguyod ng isang bansang tunay na nagkakaisa— isang bayang hindi nakakalimot sa katapangan at buhay na inalay ng ating ninuno.

Hindi natatapos sa selebrasyon ng Araw ng Kalayaan ang ating laban. Ito ay araw-araw na paninindigang hinuhubog ng paggiit sa ating kasarinlan at pagkilos para sa malaya at mapagpalayang lipunan.
