MAKULONG KA RIN HAYOP KA!
From Tio Moreno
RISATANAS DEAFENING SILENCE IS VERY TELLING
In a 20-page complaint, former Negros Oriental Rep. Jacinto “Jing” Paras, along with lawyers Eligio Mallari and Nestor Ifurong, urged the Office of the Ombudsman to investigate Senator Risa Hontiveros for multiple serious offenses—including obstruction of justice under Presidential Decree 1829, kidnapping under the Revised Penal Code, child abuse and exploitation under RA 7610, and three counts of violating the Anti-Wiretapping Law (RA 4200) IN 2017.
These allegations stem from Hontiveros allegedly harboring underage witnesses and publicly exposing a private text message from then-Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre.
This isn’t the first time her name has surfaced in witness-related controversies.
In 2019, the controversial witness "Bikoy"—whose testimony was used to attack the Duterte family—later recanted and claimed he was manipulated by Senator Sonny Trillanes and Senator Hontiveros.
In 2021, a complaint filed before the Ombudsman by Jaime Vegas alleged that Hontiveros bribed Veejay Almira, a witness in the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee’s probe into Pharmally's overpriced COVID-19 supplies.
Back then, Hontiveros quickly responded, dismissing the claims as "laughable" and branding them as desperate last-ditch efforts. But this time, the silence is different.
On June 24, 2025, a new bombshell dropped. Alias Rene, Hontiveros’ own star witness against Pastor Quiboloy, VP Sara Duterte, and former President Rodrigo Duterte, publicly came forward and confessed:
- He was bribed with ₱500,000 to testify,
- Promised an additional ₱500,000 if he linked Senator Bato dela Rosa and Senator B**g Go,
- And was paid ₱12,000 for every piece of information he gave the Senate.
In a media interview, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio confirmed that they have already filed formal charges against Hontiveros at the Ombudsman, accusing her of coaching and bribing witnesses to give false testimony.
The pattern is undeniable. From Bikoy to Pharmally to Alias Rene—witness after witness either recants, admits to being bribed, or exposes alleged coaching from Hontiveros’ camp.
And yet, this time, the senator is strangely silent. No denials. No press conferences. No public rebuttals.
Her silence, especially after such a damaging revelation from her own witness, is telling.
Is this the unraveling of a long-standing scheme to weaponize the Senate for political propaganda? For someone who once dismissed similar accusations with strong words, her refusal to speak now raises more questions than answers.
Is TANIM FAKE WITNESSES becoming Senator Risa Hontiveros' legacy? Or is the silence simply her way of hoping the truth fades away?
The Filipino people deserve answers. And this time, laughter won’t dismiss the facts.
So sino si alias Rene, madam Chair? Salamat kaayo.
