Muling nagpatutsada si Vice Pres. Sara Duterte sa administrasyon ni Pres. Bongbong Marcos kaugnay ng pag-iimbestiga sa umano'y anomalya sa flood control projects.

"Siyempre hindi natin nakikita dahil lahat tayo nakatutok doon sa flood control corruption," pasaring ng bise.

"Kung seryoso lang talaga ang Presidente, tapos na ‘yan isang araw lang, matuturo niya lahat ng may kagagawan ng corruption sa budget. Pero, well, as you can see, para ngang nanonood tayo ng zarzuela," aniya.

DEATH PENALTY BY FIRING SQUAD FOR CORRUPT POLITICIANS?

A lawmaker on Tuesday filed House Bill No. 11211, known as the "Death Penalty for Corruption Act," that seeks to impose the death penalty by firing squad on public officials convicted of graft and corruption, malversation of public funds, or plunder.

Zamboanga 1st District Representative Khymer Adan Olaso said the bill covers all public officials, from the president to the lowest barangay official, as well as members of the military and police.

The measure stipulates that the death penalty will only be carried out after the conviction is affirmed by the Supreme Court and all legal remedies have been exhausted.

The bill aims to deter corruption and ensure public accountability, with safeguards in place to uphold due process.

Naghain ng mosyon si Sen. Erwin Tulfo sa Senate Blue Ribbon Committee na magpalabas ng warrant of arrest laban sa mga taong ipinatawag pero hindi dumalo sa pagdinig ngayong araw.

Agad itong sinegundahan ni Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada, na lalong nagpatibay sa panawagan na papanagutin ang mga umiiwas sa imbestigasyon ng Senado.
