IMMIGRATION TIPS AND GUIDE
Hi, guys! If you want your travel to be smooth as possible, ready your travel documents and immigration interview answers.
Note: These tips are based on experience and might not guarantee approval.
▫️UNEMPLOYED Travelers
• Secure AOS. Affidavit of support is not a mandatory requirement from the Bl BUT it can serve as a supporting document during the immigration departure process for those with no substantial financial records.
• If you are traveling with your sponsors whom are your direct family, no need for AOS.
• Secure proof of income such as bank statements, mobile banking and etc.
• Proof of relationship to sponsor like documents or photos
▫️EMPLOYED Travelers
• Secure COE and proof of leave of absence (LOA).
• Disclose your employment years, position and company phone number.
• If you are a government employee, get a travel authority (TA) ahead of time.
▫️SELF-EMPLOYED Travelers
• Secure Business or DTI Permit
▫️FREELANCERS
• ITR for the past year
• Client’s contract or proof of service
• Client’s company and contact information
▫️STUDENT Travelers
• You are considered as an unemployed traveler, thus secure an AOS.
• Ready your sponsor’s information like full name, address and contact details.
• Proof of sponsor’s financial capacity like bank statement and etc.
• Secure your study load and student ID.
▫️VISITING Travelers
• If you are traveling to visit a family, partners, fiance or friends aboard, secure letter of invitation.
• Secure AOS.
• Ready the complete information of the person your are visiting for.
• Proof of sponsor’s financial capacity like bank statement and etc.
• Proof of relationship to sponsor like documents or photos
📌 Documents to prepare:
• Valid Passport
• E-travel Declaration
• Roundtrip ticket and boarding pass
• Hotel booking confirmation
• List of itinerary
• Activities and attractions booking confirmation
• Employment ID
• Business and DTI Permit
• Affidavit of Support (AOS) for unemployed
• DSWD Travel clearance for minors flying without parents and non legal guardians
• Travel authority for government employees
• Marriage certificate for non-updated marital status
📌 Common Interview questions:
• When is your date of return?
• How many days of stay?
• Do you have someone with you?
• What’s your relationship with your company?
• Do you have photos together?
• What are you going to do abroad?
• What’s your work?
• What company?
• What’s your business? Do you have photos?
• How long are you working or doing business?
📌 Additional tips:
• Wear modestly
• Be familiar with your travel history
• If you have offload history- they have your records on their file and you can be asked about it. Answer confidently this time.
• Be a confident solo-traveler
• Be polite to IOs
