K'inich Janaab' Pakal I ā the Maya ruler whose legacy still leaves people searching for answers.
Ruling Palenque for decades, Pakal became one of the most important rulers of the ancient Maya world. His tomb, discovered beneath the Temple of the Inscriptions, is covered with intricate symbols and imagery that continue to spark debate and fascination.
