We are knocking on your kind hearts to seek help for one of our former member, Lilianne Claire Rotap, who is currently facing a heartbreaking family crisis. Her father is battling a rare and aggressive form of colon cancer, and now her mother urgently needs surgery for a large, suspicious breast lump that may also be cancerous.
Nearly a million pesos has already been spent for her father's ongoing treatment. With her mother’s medical needs now just as urgent, Claire’s family is struggling to shoulder the growing financial burden.
Claire is a graduating student, with a younger sibling in second year college. Despite their strength and resilience, they now need our help to continue fighting for their parents’ lives.

ANNOUNCEMENT | On Heat Index Concerns and for the Upcoming Midterm Departmental Examinations
Earlier today, CCIS Student Council President JP Azusano formally submitted a letter to the CCIS Administration, expressing the concerns and demands of CCISkolars regarding the conduct of midterm departmental examinations amid the extreme heat index levels.
Based on data gathered through the official sensing form released by the PUP CCIS Student Council, 712 out of 729 respondents reported discomfort due to the current heat conditions. Furthermore, 494 students expressed a strong preference to shift the upcoming midterm exams to an online modality, citing health and safety concerns due to the anticipated dangerous heat levels. However, the CCIS Administration emphasizes that an online midterm departmental examinations is not feasible due to internet connectivity problems of the students.
Under the revised guidelines of Executive Order No. 12 concerning the suspension of face-to-face classes due to heat index levels, it remains under the discretion of the CCIS Administration and the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) to determine whether departmental exams will proceed on-site.
Dean Melvin Roxas has stated that the college is currently awaiting a decision from the OVPAA. Should the OVPAA approve, the exams will push through as scheduled. If not, the CCIS Administration will issue a follow-up announcement with revised plans.
The CCIS Administration has assured the student body that an official announcement will be released later tonight.

JUST IN | The PUP CCIS Student Council and Second Year Representatives have successfully filed a demand paper requesting major modifications for the upcoming departmental examinations. The 5-point demands consist of cancellation of exams, tagging all IT and CS professors, comprehensive guidelines, separate exam periods, and financial transparency. Tomorrow at 11:00 AM, a dialogue request is scheduled in the PUP CCIS Administration, the Office of the President, and the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs. The movement gains momentum with and trending on social media, reflecting the solidarity and determination of the student leaders.
