𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭!

Did you know that Rizal Technological University has been sporing innovation in mushroom cultivation since 1996? Led by Prof. Patrocinio O. Macalinao Jr., the Mushroom Biotechnology Project, aims to boost edible fungi production, supporting research, food products, and even fun sales during University Week! RTU-grown mushrooms like Pleurotus spp. and Volvariella volvaceae.

I know, the intro's a bit long — haha! — but I just had to connect it to the last/latest piece I created in this series. The mushroom, RTU's mycological icon, subtly comes to life through organic shapes and patterns in my art. This journey was a glorious mix of messiness, fun, and creativity!

This is the second piece from the abstract art series I was commissioned to create—another experimental journey that led to this result!

Why blue, white, and yellow/gold?

These are the colors of the RTU logo, serving as the inspiration behind the palette.

𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐃𝐚𝐲, 𝐌𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭,

It has been quite some time since I last posted here. Life has kept me busy, but I’m thrilled to be back!

This particular piece was created a few months ago for an event at RTU through Teatro Rizalia, Sining Biswal Organization. Working with this medium was a new experience for me, but I thoroughly enjoyed the process.

I have two more posts lined up, showcasing the rest of the series, so stay tuned!

Creating various drawing styles of Toji Fushiguro for an Art Appreciation activity allows for a multifaceted exploration of artistic expression. By experimenting with different 'Elements of Arts' such as line, shape, texture, form, color, value and space in order to send a message through certain art piece. This is a great practice for the artists to know what effects or expression you want the viewers to feel!
