I never expected to discover a dam in my bike ride today. But I long suspected from studying Google Maps imagery that there is a dam behind the security barracks along Vermosa Boulevard near Promenade Avenue. My suspicions were confirmed right today!

It took a while to muster the courage to walk the empty lot behind the security barracks for fear of the security guards, but they didn't do a thing. I heaved a sigh of relief upon seeing this small dam hidden behind the perimeter fence. I am calling this dam the Hidden Dam from the time being until I establish the name. It's not an irrigation dam though, it looks more like an overflow dam used as a narrow pathway to cross the stream within this property.

Woke up this morning to memories of my meeting last night with Spanish cycling vlogger and fellow Pinoy cyclists .jadedomo for more than an hour of story sharing about our cycling adventures!

Belen coming to the Philippines is a testament to how safe this country is when it comes to female cyclists. I hope this could inspire other female cyclists to come visit and pedal through our archipelago!

Revisiting Ragatan Dam which I first reached in March 2025!

I didn't see the dam walls back then, just the reservoir. Now that the bushes aren't so thick, I was able to take a closer look.

Revisited one of my go-to dams today: Baluctot Dam in Salawag, Dasmariñas.

I make it a habit to check the condition of these Spanish era irrigation dams. There are days it's in good condition, but today there's just plenty of trash. The LGU here should deploy its river clearing team to collect the trash here.

Ambilis ng 10 taon. Ang daming nagbago sa pagbi-bisikleta ko. Padyak ko pa dito si Red, ang unang bike na kasama ko sa unang taon ng Pinoy Cyclist. Mga panahong hindi pa ako cyclist vlogger kundi nagsusulat lang ng cycling articles sa aking website na pinoycyclist.blogspot.com. Lumang 1st gen GoPro pa ang gamit. Maalog pa ang mga kuha. Mga panahong nagba-bike sa loob ng BF Resort sa Las Piñas.
