Sometimes I still can’t believe it
the kids have lived more years in Manila
than they ever did in England.
Time slips through your fingers
when you’re raising little ones;
one minute they’re tiny, the next
you’re watching them build core memories
right in front of you.
Taking them to the theatre for the first time here,
feels like a little piece of our old world
softly stitched into our new one.
A moment that reminds me
that magic travels with you,
no matter where life takes you.
And ending the night with a Sunday roast at Gordon Ramsey’s …
that warm, familiar comfort
that always brings me back to home
especially during the festive season.
I’m grateful the kids get to remember both worlds. Grateful we get to create new traditions
while holding on to the ones that shaped us.
