Founded in 2007 (in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) by a group of OFWs and officially registered in 2019 (with Securities and Exchange Commission) as a non‐profit organization. Kaagapay Ako ng Bawat OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker) is established for civic and social purposes such as, but not limited to the engagement in direct advocacy work in the promotion of the rights and welfare of Filipinos overs
eas. MISSION
The organization’s mission is to provide “ACE” in as much as we can, or as we always state “Sa Abot ng Aming Makakaya.”
ACE is its three‐fold mission which stands for Assistance, Charity, and Empowerment. Its short-term vision is to reach all countries where there are Filipinos and thereby extend the reach of its mission of providing assistance, charity, and empowerment to all Filipinos overseas. The organization assists fellow OFWs with various cases such as, but not limited to, unfair labor practice, physical and/or mental abuse, medical difficulties, and repatriation problems through case referrals to the proper channels like OWWA, POLO, or the Philippine Consulate/Embassy. We also organize fund‐raising activities as a form of charity to victims of calamities in the Philippines, indigenous communities, and distressed OFWs, among others. Towards the end, we also strive to empower fellow OFWs by consistently conducting Pre - Departure Orientation Seminars, Post Arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) in OFW campsites and company‐provided accommodations and Values Formation Seminars
to distressed OFWs. As another form of empowerment, we immediately deliver credible news through our official Face book page and group as part of our strengthened information dissemination system. As part of the organization’s milestone, we were one the representatives of the OFW sector in the House of the Representative’s Committee Sessions on the creation of the Department of Filipinos Overseas and Foreign Deployment. VISION
The organization’s short‐term vision is to reach all countries where there are Filipinos and thereby extend the reach of its mission of providing assistance, charity and empowerment to all Filipinos overseas. Its long‐term vision is of a society where each and every Filipino overseas and their respective families enjoy equal protection, rights, and opportunities, regardless of their occupation, industry, gender, ethnicity, religion and status in life. CULTURE AND CORE VALUES
Almost all organizations have their own culture and set of core values. The spirit of volunteerism shines the most through the classic Filipino term “BAYANIHAN.” We place public service above self‐interest and personal gain. Through this, we exhibit commitment, reliability, and efficiency.
2. EQUALITY. Everyone is equal in this organization, irrespective of any rank, status, or other social determinants/factors. Opportunities are also given equally, with no prioritization over certain individuals. We also address each other with “Ka” (i.e. Ka Bong) before the first name (irrespective of the gender) as a sign of respect.
3. INTEGRITY. Our actions are geared towards our mission and vision. In this manner, we strive to be transparent and accountable on all of our actions.
