𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓! 🎓🌟

With faith as strong as their foundation in numbers, approximately 400 graduating students of the UST - Alfredo M. Velayo College of Accountancy gathered for their much-anticipated Baccalaureate Mass at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion on May 31, 2025.

Following the first session held from 12 to 3 p.m., AMVian Seniors made the traditional symbolic exit through the university's Arch of the Centuries, a rite of passage marking the end of their Thomasian journey.

Despite the inclement weather, the highly awaited nine-minute pyromusical show featuring OPM songs pushed through as planned after the two-part event.

Originally set for Friday, May 30, at the UST Grandstand and Open Field, the said Mass was postponed and moved indoors the following day after sudden heavy rains drenched students on campus.

Hallelujah! The Lord has risen!

Today, we celebrate Easter Sunday, the day our Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead after three days of crucifixion, offering Himself in atonement for our sins. This day marks not only the triumph of life over death but also the renewal of hope for the people of Jerusalem—and for us all as children of God.

Easter Sunday reminds us that no matter how heavy the storm, there is always light ahead. There is always hope, and a new beginning awaits.

We observe Black Saturday as a solemn day of mourning and remembrance for the death of Jesus Christ. On this day, His body was laid in the tomb—an invitation for us to reflect on His sacrifices for our salvation.

On this day of grief and misery, we await the Resurrection of Jesus—a symbol of renewed hope, new beginnings, and eternal love.

In this period of reflection, may we remember that His sacrifice is a promise of undying forgiveness and everlasting life.

"He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds, you have been healed.” – 1 Peter 2:24

Today, Good Friday, we reflect and commemorate the solemnity of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross — His boundless love.

It is a day of sorrow as we remember Jesus’ suffering, crucifixion, and death. Yet in His pain, we find hope—through His Passion, we were offered grace, mercy, and the promise of redemption. Jesus bore our sins and fulfilled the Father’s will so that we may be reconciled with God and receive the gift of eternal life.

As we reflect on the love of Christ, may it inspire us to live with love, forgiveness, and compassion toward others, just like how Christ taught us.

“Love one another, just as I have loved you, you should also love one another.” (John 13:34)

On this Maundy Thursday, we are reminded of the Last Supper, where Jesus Christ not only shared a final meal with His disciples, but also extended a profound invitation- to live a life marked by compassion, humility, and unconditional love. Through the offering of bread and wine, He revealed the depth of His ultimate sacrifice.

Let us take this day to reflect and honor His unwavering devotion by embracing the heart of His message and serving others with grace and compassion.
