She waited in silence.

Every year she went to the temple carrying the same prayer,

a hope that felt heavy.

People saw her pain, but they didn’t understand it.
They thought she was weak.
They thought she had lost her mind.
But what they didn’t know was that she was pouring her soul out to God.

Hannah didn’t wait perfectly.
She cried.
She trembled.
She broke down.

And that’s important to remember
because waiting doesn’t mean being strong all the time.
Waiting means choosing to trust God even when your heart is tired.

She didn’t allow bitterness to consume her.
She didn’t walk away from God.
She stayed. She prayed. She surrendered.

And in God’s perfect time,

Even now, the lessons he shared through his expository preaching illuminate my path. His words were more than teachings, they were beacons of wisdom, guiding me through confusion, doubt, and the moments I felt lost. I carry not just his voice, but the principles he lived by: unwavering faith, courage in the face of trials, and a heart that chose to serve others above all else.

Though I may no longer hear him speak, the impact of his life continues to shape how I see the world, how I treat others, and how I walk my own journey. Each step I take is brighter because of the light he left behind—a reminder that true influence is timeless, and true guidance lingers long after the moment has passed.

In the quiet, in the stillness, I feel his lessons guiding me. I am reminded to walk with intention, to embrace discipline with grace, and to pursue purpose one faithful step at a time. Even now, the light he shared continues to lead me forward.

On January 6, 2026, my favorite pastor was called home by the Lord. I was overcome with sadness and couldn’t stop crying.

Doc Jun Aguilar, thank you for teaching us to live with unwavering faith. Your life and teachings continue to inspire us.

Lord, thank You for his life. Thank You for the wisdom You granted him, which allowed him to make a profound impact on so many people and draw them closer to You. Please continue to be with his wife and children, and grant them comfort and peace in You always.
