We are excited to announce the official launch of our 2025 Internship Program at Puppeteer Studios!

This isn’t a classroom. This is real-world training inside a working 3D Animation Studio, where you’ll contribute to short films and original content alongside some of the best artists in the industry.

Puppeteer Studios Internship Program: 1-Minute Short Film Production Track

Program Overview:
This internship program provides aspiring animators and artists with hands-on experience in 3D animation, asset creation, and storytelling, while also contributing to Puppeteer Studios' original content production initiatives. Interns will work in specialized roles to conceptualize, animate, and produce a 1-minute short film that reflects the studio’s creative vision and branding. By the end of the program, interns will gain industry experience and would have a short film produced under the tutelage of Puppeteer Studios.

Duration: 4-6 months
Location: On-site | Ortigas, Manila

Eligibility:
Art/Animation students in the following roles:
* 3 x 2D Artists (Concept Art & Storyboarding)
* 6 x 3D Artists (Asset & Character Modeling)
* 1 x Rigger
* 4 x Animators
* 2 x Lighting & Rendering, Video Editing and Compositing Artists
* 1 x VFX Artist [OPTIONAL]
* 1 x Production Manager

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the internship, interns will have:
1. Developed a high-quality, 1-minute short film that meets industry standards.
2. Gained proficiency in using professional 3D animation software, asset creation tools, and techniques.
3. Learned to collaborate effectively in a team to create polished animation content within a tight timeline.
4. Gained experience in the post-production process, including compositing, sound design, and editing.
5. Contributed directly to the studio’s portfolio and marketing efforts.

We love working on-site.

Not just because we’re a full-production studio and it makes sense logistically--real-time feedback, faster file transfers, better security.

But because of this:
The constant, quiet learning from each other.
The energy we give and receive.
The random geeking out over new discoveries.
The way we celebrate each other’s wins—big or small.
The way we show up on tough days.

I think this is one of the biggest factors how we’re good at what we do: because we’re not just working side by side-- we’re actually growing together. We feed off each other's energy and it shows 🙂

Next week, we're packing our bags for Unreal Fest Bali, and we’re pumped!! Big shoutout to Epic Games for bringing this event to our doorstep. Unreal Engine has been changing the game for a while, and we're here to dive deep into all the cutting-edge tools and techniques that are setting the standard in the industry.

With so many talks happening, we’re splitting up to take in as much as we can. Catch our team as we learn, innovate, and connect with all the unreal talent that’ll be there!

We’re so excited to soak it all in and bring back some fresh inspiration to our work. Let’s push the boundaries and create some next-level stuff!

We’re proud to announce that Anito has been officially selected to pitch at this year’s Annecy International Animation Film Festival!

We’ll be sharing the stage with incredible talents from across Southeast Asia — Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam — as part of the ASEAN Showcase: Southeast Asia, Stories in Motion.

Catch our director Aurthur Mercader and producer Louie Mercader as they bring Anito to the global stage — a 3D animated feature rooted in Filipino mythology, family, and the unseen spirit world around us.
