This event highlighted the participation of Filipino-owned beauty brands, proudly showcasing homegrown skincare, haircare, and fragrance products that emphasized not only trends but also Filipino artistry and identity. These brands, along with products created and presented by our very own Escolarians, reminded everyone that beauty is not just seen but deeply felt, rooted in culture, creativity, and care.

CEU Manila made history with the successful staging of its 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁-𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗢𝗡:𝗡𝗘𝗖𝗧, with the theme “𝙇𝙚𝙩’𝙨 𝙂𝙡𝙤𝙬, 𝙀𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙨!”, on 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟵–𝟯𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱. The event was a collaboration between School of Science and Technology (𝗦𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗛), School of Accountancy and Management (𝗦𝗔𝗠), and School of Education, Liberal Arts, Music, and Social Work (𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗔𝗠𝗦) brought to life an event that merged intellect, creativity, and inclusivity under one spotlight that blended science, business, and artistry in one radiant stage.

𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:
Sunscreen Formulation – Beyond SPF, Fragrance Making – Your Story in Every Note, Serum Formulation – “Wow! Texture! Now!”, Color Cosmetics – Where Science Meets Artistry & Colors, and Hair Care Formulation – Two Layers, One Shine.

The two-day event also featured beauty brand booths that showcased proudly Filipino products in skincare, cosmetics, and haircare.

𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐨, a Filipino beauty content creator, talked about our power and the future of Filipino skincare, inspiring Escolarians to embrace innovation and authenticity in the industry. This was followed by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐢 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐨-𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐨, Chief Commercial Officer of Brand Soluxions, who shared her insights on starting a local brand—encouraging Escolarians who dream of making their own mark in the beauty and business world. Adding inspiration, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐤𝐱, 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑, shared her journey of self-love and overcoming challenges, reminding everyone that true beauty begins within.

More than trends, Beauty Con:nect stood as a movement of inclusivity, self-expression, and Filipino creativity.

Filipinos gathered at the EDSA People Power Monument and Luneta to take a stand against corruption, calling for accountability and reform. The day also served as a moment of remembrance for the victims of Martial Law and the fight for freedom.

Martial Law was declared, plunging the Philippines into an era of fear, censorship, and abuse of power. Thousands were silenced, jailed, or disappeared—all in the name of control.

As campus journalists, CEU News & Current Affairs (CNCA) remembers Martial Law as a painful lesson etched in our nation’s history—one that must never be erased nor repeated.

🕯️ We look back not just to remember the darkness, but to remind ourselves to defend freedom and democracy today.

CEU News and Current affairs (CNCA) refuses to be complicit, we refuse to accept silence, deception and injustice as the norm. As the official student news and public affairs arm of the Communication and Media Society of Centro Escolar University, we stand with the Filipino people in condemning corruption and all actions that erode public trust and weaken our democracy.

We raise our voices against a rotten system that is designed to protect the thieves in power — a system that normalizes plunder, justifies incompetence, and abandons the people in times of crisis. We condemn the leaders who watch the people drown in floods, while shamelessly enlarging their pockets — with the money that was never theirs to take. Every stolen peso is a stolen future. And yet, they expect us to bow, to stay quiet, to forget.

But we will not forget. We will not forgive. We will not be silenced. And no amount of lies and threats can make us bow to a system that has stolen too much already.

Enough is enough. We are students, but we are not powerless. This is not just a failure of leadership — it is a crime against the people. We urge our fellow students, and every Filipino who has been betrayed countless times to stand with us. And if those in power refuse to serve the people with honesty and dignity, then they must be prepared to face a generation that will not be silenced, will not forget, and will not forgive.

🎙️✊ Pambansang Araw ng Kalayaan sa Pamamahayag

Ngayon ay ating ginugunita ang tapang at dedikasyon ng mga mamamahayag na walang sawang naglilingkod sa bayan sa pamamagitan ng paghahatid ng katotohanan at pagbibigay-tinig sa mamamayan 👥.

Ang kalayaan sa pamamahayag ay hindi lamang para sa midya. Ito ay para rin sa atin, dahil ang malayang pamamahayag ang nagbabantay sa ating demokrasya 🕊️🇵🇭.

Nagsagawa ng kilos-protesta ang PISTON, MANIBELA, at ilang mga estudyante sa huling araw ng 2-day transport strike noong Setyembre 24, Martes, bilang pagtutol sa konsolidasyon ng mga tradisyunal na jeep sa ilalim ng PUV Modernization Program.
