The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is set to review the content of its examinations to ensure that questions better reflect the competencies needed in public service.

"Kasi nga hanggang hindi natin napag-aaralan kung angkop ba ang mga tinatanong natin na questions, marami pa rin dyan ang hindi makakapasa," CSC Chairperson Marilyn Yap said.

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺?

Passing the Career Service Exam – Paper and Pencil Test (CSE-PPT) is the usual way to obtain eligibility for government service. However, there are also special laws and issuances that provide exemptions.

In addition to the newly approved civil service eligibility for Sangguniang Kabataan Officials (SKOs), the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has recognized 11 other eligibilities granted to qualified individuals.

𝗦𝗞 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝗰𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆! 🎉

Elected and appointed Sangguniang Kabataan Officials (SKOs) in good standing are now entitled to civil service eligibility, provided they have completed a full three-year term of office or its equivalent.

“This privilege, granted exclusively to duly elected and appointed SKOs, recognizes the vital role of the youth in nation-building and affirms their contributions to public service,” said CSC Chairperson Atty. Marilyn B. Yap.
