Some bad news for young players hoping to play in the JAPAN BLEAGUE some day.
Kuliglig from inside Japan told me that BLeague teams are starting to prioritize recruitment of tall Asian imports from China, Mongolia, etc.
The latest trend in the league is to get taller Asian imports.
If this continues, affected will be talented Filipino youth who play the guard and shooting guard positions.
The fact that China has already been doing full coverage of the BLeague further fuels interest among Chinese to play in Japan.
The BLeague is remodelling next year with the implementation of the first ever rookie draft.
BLeague is now, unofficially, according to them, as they say, 😊 the most popular basketball tournament in Asia. The Japanese are still working hard to be named the second best league in the world, next to the NBA.
The BLeague and the NBA have also signed a partnership, wherein Japanese can expect more activities and team visits from the NBA.
