Importante alamin ang fair value ng stock at maglagay ng margin of safety para hindi ka mapabili kapag overvalued na ang stock. You can use the fair value estimates from brokers as reference, maglagay ka lang ng 30 to 50% margin of safety para may buffer

At siyempre, hindi dividend yield ang basis. Huwag basta habol sa mataas na yield. Alamin muna kung strong and fundamentals ng company, with sustainable and growing dividends and sustainable payout ratio.

$OGP: I’ve read MyTrade PH’s short take on OGP and this may help explain why the dividend for this quarter is lower despite the company’s strong First half (H1) 2026 results.

💰H1 2026 net income more than tripled to $67.4M (from $22.0M last year) mainly driven by higher gold prices.

💰 Q2’s net income of $32.7M is slightly below Q1’s net income of $34.7M.

Operations softened in the second quarter.
1. Revenue declined 20% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ).
2. All-in sustaining cost (AISC) increased 19% QoQ.
3. Free cash flow turned negative in Q2 (-$17.8M vs +$80.1M in Q1) largely due to the annual payment of the government’s additional share.

OGP’s dividend come from free cash flow.

Despite the negative free cash flow, management still declared a cash dividend of $0.0075/share, suggesting a positive outlook for the second half of 2026.
