If you want to unlearn the habit of catastrophic thinking and relearn "best-case" thinking, try these three shifts:

The "What If" Flip: When your brain says, "What if I fail?" immediately follow it with, "But what if I absolutely crush this?" Give the positive scenario equal airtime.

Detailed Visualization: We usually imagine the "worst" in high-definition. Start imagining the "best" with that same level of detail—the smells, the sounds, the feeling of relief and pride.

Build a "Success Case": Just as you look for evidence that things might go wrong, actively hunt for evidence that things could go right. Look at your past wins as proof of future potential.

"Chinese Tea Cup Theory"

Patience & Mindfulness: The heat forces you to slow down, engage your senses (touch, smell, taste), and be present in the moment, rather than gulping down tea or rushing into life's experiences.
