In celebration of 50 years of faith, hope, and service, Caritas Philippines has partnered with the University of Santo Tomas, through the Office of Public Affairs, to hold a press conference for the Alay Kapwa campaign titled “Sa Kapwa Ko Ay Alay: 50 Taon ng Pag-asa.”

Held on June 4, 2025, the event marked a meaningful milestone with the introduction of Ben&Ben as Caritas Philippines’ newest advocates. The band also unveiled their newest song, “Sa Kapwa Ko Ay Alay,” echoing the campaign’s mission of solidarity and love for others.

The topping off ceremony of the UST-Dr. William T. Belo Interdisciplinary Research Institute (UST-WiTBIRIn) was held last May 8 at the UST Manila Annex (UST MAx) in Santa Rosa, Laguna.

The facility, named after Wilcon Depot Inc. founder and Thomasian alumnus, Dr. William Bello, aims to strengthen UST’s commitment to world-class research and innovation.

The UST CFAD Interior Design Graduating Batch of 2025 officially launched “komunIDad x Agapay”, an exhibit highlighting interior design as a tool for service and social change — featuring thoughtfully design spaces that foster a nurturing, healing and safe environment for women and children.

The exhibit will run from May 8 to 19, 2025 at the Civil Law Lobby, UST Main Building.

On May 2, the Arkipella Mixed Ensemble and UST Arki Dance Troupe shared the stage for “Muli sa Tanghalan: Gabi ng Awit-Sayaw”, a nostalgic concert celebrating the songs of the decade, held at the Benavides Auditorium in the UST Junior High School Building. 🎭

The UST Junior Growling Tigresses have been crowned the new queens of UAAP Girls’ 3x3 Basketball after clinching the gold medal. Meanwhile, the UST Tiger Cubs and UST Growling Tigers both earned silver finishes, and the UST Growling Tigresses took home the bronze.

Barby Dajao was hailed the MVP of the Girls’ Division, while Karylle Sierba claims the Rookie of the Year title in the Women’s Division.

Congratulations, Tigers! 💛

About Us

The Fotomasino – the Thomasian Photographers’ Guild, the premier photography organization of University of Santo Tomas, blessed with grace and enlightenment of God Almighty and Saint Thomas Aquinas, and imbued with the ideals of Compassion, Competence, and Commitment shall uphold the teachings of our Catholic faith; produce quality photographs that will chronicle the events of our University; create a sanctuary for photographers, a safe space where one can glean in the knowledge of another, and where all can share the common passion of photography.

The organization, with more than 300 college level members and senior high school volunteers, received a Level III recognition by the University of Santo Tomas for its performance in the recent academic year. It prides itself with producing high-quality photographs for the purpose of chronicling the events within and outside the university and using photography as a tool for social transformation and development.

Now on its 8th year, the Fotomasino – the Thomasian Photographers’ Guild continues to uphold its commitment in providing a sanctuary for aspiring photographers and photography enthusiasts by organizing activities such as photography seminars and workshops, photo walks, competitions, and exhibition open to all Thomasian and non-Thomasians as well.
