Philippine Media Advocacy Conference PODCON aims to educate, inspire and advocate through its lecture forum series, PODCON Student (PS) Awards, and Happy Books Project.

The Philippine Media Advocacy Conference (PMAC) is an event that campaigns for responsible, value-oriented media broadcasting through inspiring and educating aspiring media practitioners, and advocating positive change in the media industry. Podcast Convention (PODCON), the Philippine Convention on Responsible Radio Broadcasting, is an advocacy project that campaigns for responsible and values-ori

ented broadcasting through inspiring and educating aspiring media practitioners, and advocating positive change in the broadcast industry and society. It is open to communication and media students, enthusiasts, and broadcast media practitioners. PODCON is an annual project presented by the PODCON Organizing Team in cooperation with the UST-Communication Arts Students' Association (UST-CASA) and the foremost broadcast media organization in the Philippines, the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP). It was launched and organized in 2012 by a group of Thomasian Communication Arts students who had a strong desire to partake in KBP's mission to promote the highest level of professionalism in the practice of broadcast profession.

🎥 Missed PMAC? Don’t worry because we got your back, Media Advocates! 🫡

Last April 12, the Philippine Media Advocacy Conference (PMAC) happened at the UST Beato Angelico Building with this year’s theme “Maximizing Media, Building Connections.”

With an introductory speech from the Faculty-In-Charge, Asst. Prof. Anna Cielo T. Perez, MA and lectures from speakers such as Ms. Flordeliz L. Abanto and Atty. Cherryl S. Adami-Molina, the event was filled with insights about the new generation of media and looking back on the history of boradcast journalism in the country.
