My sister has been in the hospital for over a month now, still waiting for her operation. Aside from a blood rupture, the doctors have also discovered a bump inside her head, which is currently under observation.

Kaycee-Kenn Gahuman is currently battling Moyamoya disease, a rare condition that affects blood flow to the brain and can lead to strokes. She was diagnosed in Macau on October 22, 2024, and subsequently underwent brain surgery. In November, she returned to the Philippines to recover, but on February 8, 2025, she was rushed to the hospital again.

Subject: Urgent Help Needed for My Sister’s Medical Treatment

I am sincerely reaching out to ask for your kindness and support for my sister, who is facing a serious health battle.

Last October, my sister was diagnosed with Moyamoya disease (rare disease) while in Macau and underwent a difficult surgery. She was hospitalized for nearly a month before returning to the Philippines. After the operation, she lost mobility in one hand, and doctors said recovery was unlikely. Moyamoya is an incurable disease, but despite the challenges, my sister has shown incredible strength and resilience. Against all odds, she has started regaining movement and speech.

However, her condition has recently worsened. She is now experiencing severe headaches and vomiting, and her nerve has ruptured, requiring urgent medical care. Our family is struggling to cover the ₱5,000 in daily expenses for treatment, and now, the hospital has informed us that another operation is urgently needed, costing ₱2 million—an amount far beyond our means.

Because of this, we are humbly asking for your help. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in supporting my sister’s treatment and giving her a chance to continue fighting this battle.
