MERRY CHRISTMAS sa inyong lahat mula sa mga pioneers ng 33rd Infantry 'Makabayan' Battalion nang ito ay binuo sa Fort Magsaysay at madeploy sa Lanao del Sur sa taong 1974. Marami pang alive and kicking sa mga mandirigma na nasa larawan. Tag nyo FB accounts ng inyong mga kakilala!

MSg Francisco Lagarico was a Scout Ranger who trained as a paratrooper of the 1st Airborne Battalion, Philippine Army. He recently succumbed to complications caused by his illness.

Pugay para Kay 2LT Kim Janzen Obdin, Isang Filipina, na ginawaran ng Medal of Excellence bilang Number 1 foreign cadet na nagtapos sa Officers Training Academy sa Chennai, India. Si 2LT Obdin ay dating kabilang sa OCS class 60 bago pinadala sa India.

Maj Floren Herrera, a Scout Ranger and a distinguished alumnus of West Point's Class of 2013, has been named the recipient of the prestigious 2024 Nininger Award for Valor at Arms. This esteemed accolade, bestowed annually, recognizes graduates who have displayed extraordinary heroism in combat. Major Herrera earned this honor for his exceptional bravery and leadership during the Battle of Marawi, where he served as the Executive Officer of the 2nd Scout Ranger Company.

Si MSgt Nestor Tibubos ng Iloilo ay nagtapos ng Special Forces Course Class 01-62 at Scout Ranger Course Class 15-72. Di matawaran ang kanyang serbisyo sa ating bayan bilang mandirigma. Isa sya sa mga Tactical NCOs na nag mentor kay PBBM nang kinuha nya ang SF Course sa taong 1979.

MARANAO MUSANG

Alam nyo ba na napakabihira ng mga Maranao officers ang naging Musang?

Isa na doon ay si Ranger Abbas Domato ng Malabang, Lanao del Sur.

Sa taong 1973, nakipagbakbakan sya sa Blackshirts/MNLF sa Sultan sa Barongis area bilang Platoon Leader at Company Commander ng 22nd Infantry Battalion.

Naranasan din nyang makidigma sa mga teroristang NPA bilang Company Commander ng 19th Infantry Battalion sa Isla ng Samar.

Nakidigma din sya sa bandidong Abu Sayyaf bilang Ex-O ng 5th Infantry Battalion, ang buddy unit ng aking kinabilangang 1st Scout Ranger Battalion sa Basilan.

Bilang Battalion Commander ng 55th IB, nakidigma sya sa Abu Sayaff, M**F, at NPA sa Zamboanga del Sur.

Ganyan kalawak ang kanyang karanasan sa serbisyo militar.

Kamakailan lang ay binisita nya ang Camp Tecson para magbigay pugay kay Haring Musang at tingnan ang class marker ng SR 26-1978 na kanyang kinabilangan.
