TAMS NEWS | Tamaraw Ignite Salubong 2025 Closes With Brave Beginnings and New Adventures
Today isn’t just first day of August—it’s the final day of the Tamaraw Ignite 2025 where Grade 7, Grade 11, and transferee students gathered with faculty and staff to celebrate the eagerly awaited closing event, the Salubong—held at FEU Manila’s Main Auditorium.
The program kicked off with the Entrance of Colors, followed by the singing of the National Anthem by the FEU HS Harmonic Singers. Several students then led the Panunumpa sa Watawat and Panatang Makabayan. This was followed by the recitation of the school’s Mission and Vision, before a solemn prayer offered a moment of reflection.
The Adhiraya Dance Company then took the stage, energizing the crowd with a vibrant performance that set the mood for the event. Dr. Stephen Jay Co, the Director for Academic Affairs, delivered a heartfelt welcoming message after, reminding students that failure is part of the journey and FEU High School offers endless chances to “respawn” and retry—turning setbacks into stepping stones toward their goals.
As the event continued, the crowd was introduced to the administrative team, managers, staff, and faculty members from both Junior and Senior High School strands, presented via an engaging video. The atmosphere reached new heights when the FEU Cheer Cadets taught the students the iconic FEU cheer, which was then performed with enthusiasm, reflecting the pride and spirit of being Tamaraws.
The hosts: Mark Mendoza, Megan Doroteo, Charisse Escape, and Samantha Agraan appeared in surprise costumes that added a fun and lively element to the event. Their entertaining introductions brought smiles and laughter to the audience, keeping the energy high.
The auditorium also brimmed with excitement during the colorful performance by FEU HS TALA, followed by lively games that engaged the Tamaraw community.
The entertainment didn’t stop there, as the FEU HS Music Society, FEU HS Harmonic Singers, and the inspiring play by the FEU HS Tanglaw ng Teatro further showcased the talent and creativity within the school.
As the Salubong neared its conclusion, the Adhiraya Dance Company returned for another show-stopping finale, leaving many students in awe of their skill and energy.
To bring the day to a close, the FEU Cheer Cadets led one final campus cheer, and the FEU HS Harmonic Singers proudly sang the FEU Hymn, bringing Tamaraw Ignite 2025 to a vibrant and heartfelt close.
