Living in God's Word

Living in God's Word This is a small online ministry, but it’s not about me—it’s about Him. Let’s walk together in truth, one verse, one prayer, one day at a time.

Living in God’s Word exists to share hope, truth, and gentle reminders of God’s love through Scripture.

“Your heart can’t heal if you keep holding on to every hurt.”

📖 1 Corinthians 13:5 -- “Love… keeps no record of wrongs.”

This is the kind of love Paul talks about, love that doesn’t keep a list of every hurt, every failure, every moment someone disappointed you. Hindi ito madali. We’re human, we remember pain. We replay the moments that broke our hearts. But God calls us to something deeper, something higher… a love that looks like His.

Si God mismo, hindi Siya nagtatago ng listahan ng kasalanan natin when we come to Him. Psalm 103:12 says, “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” If God can forgive fully and freely, He’s inviting us to live the same way, free from bitterness, free from the past.

Letting go doesn’t mean wala nang nangyari. It means you stop replaying it. You stop counting it against the person. You trust that God sees everything, and He is the One who heals and restores. And when you release the past, you make room for peace, reconciliation, and growth.

Today, may we choose to love like Christ, free, generous, and without keeping score. And as we release others, our own hearts finally find freedom too.

Happy Saturday! Take this day to love freely and let go, your heart deserves the freedom God offers.

Sometimes, it’s not the storm outside that makes life hard, it’s the storm inside our mind. We smile and say we’re okay, pero sa totoo lang, pagod na, overthinking, and trying to hold everything together.

Our mind gets cloudy when we hold on to anger, fear, or pain for too long. When we keep replaying the past or worrying too much about the future, nawawala ‘yung peace na gustong ibigay ni Lord.

Minsan tinatanong natin, “Lord, nasaan Ka?”
But maybe He’s been there all along, we just can’t hear Him because our thoughts are too loud.

When you pause, pray, and let go, unti-unting lumilinaw ang lahat. When you forgive, trust, and surrender, peace starts to come back to your heart.

God’s peace doesn’t mean your problems disappear. It means that kahit magulo, may calm sa puso mo kasi kasama mo Siya.

📖 Philippians 4:7 — “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

He’s still your calm in the chaos.
He’s still the light behind the clouds.

Sometimes we do things we never thought we were capable of, we hurt people who trusted us, we break hearts that only wished us well. And when that happens, guilt can consume us. Some may even wish we suffer as much as they did, and that pain can be heavy to carry.

But remember this: God is a God of mercy, forgiveness, and restoration. What’s broken can still be mended in His grace.

If you’ve hurt someone, don’t run away from it. Acknowledge your fault. Humble yourself. Ask for forgiveness - from the person, and from God who sees your heart.

📖 Proverbs 28:13
“Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.”

You can’t control how people will feel about you after what happened, but you can control how you respond - with humility, repentance, and a heart that truly desires to change.

Forgiveness might take time — theirs, and even yours — but healing begins when you turn back to God. He can restore what guilt has taken and teach you to walk in grace again.

Let God handle what you can’t fix. Mercy is possible, even after your mistakes.

Real love isn’t proven when everything feels right, it’s proven when everything feels hard.

📖 1 Corinthians 13:4 - “Love is patient, love is kind…”

True love isn’t about how perfect everything feels. It’s about choosing to stay kind, patient, and faithful even when you’re hurt, disappointed, or misunderstood. Love that stays means you still care even when things fall apart, even when you’ve been let down or even when you’ve hurt the person you love.

Because real love admits mistakes, seeks forgiveness, and keeps hoping for healing. It’s not blind; it just chooses to see beyond pain.
It’s the kind of love that mirrors God’s heart—gracious, patient, and never giving up on us no matter how many times we fail.

When you love with grace and endurance, even after pain, you reflect the love of Christ - the kind of love that stays.

Step into October with Gratitude and Faith!

We’re already a few days into October, but it’s never too late to welcome this month with gratitude and faith. Before we move forward, let’s pause and thank God for the past days - for every blessing, whether big or small. Each answered prayer, each lesson, and even the challenges we’ve faced remind us of His constant love and faithfulness.

No moment is wasted when we see it through grateful eyes. God has been good and He continues to be.

As we journey through October, let’s face it with a bang - filled with joy, purpose, and trust in our God who never fails.

📖 “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” — Psalm 107:1

LORD, tonight, we come before You with heavy yet hopeful hearts. The world around us trembles with calamities and pain, yet we choose to rest in Your unshakable peace. You are our refuge when everything else feels uncertain.

Lord, we lift to You those who have been affected - those who have lost, those who are grieving, and those who are struggling to rebuild what was broken. Wrap them in Your loving arms. Let Your comfort reach the deepest parts of their sorrow and remind them that You are still near.

When fear whispers and hope feels distant, speak peace over our hearts. Remind us that even in the storm, You are still God - still faithful, still loving, still in control.

Give us hearts that keep trusting, hands willing to help, and faith that never wavers. Tonight, we rest in Your presence, believing that even after the storm, Your light will shine again. AMEN.

📖 “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” — John 16:33

Home is supposed to be our safe place. Pero minsan, bakit parang war zone lalo na tuwing Saturday lunch?

Weekend should be a time to rest, pero being at home with family can also bring out stress.

That’s why today, let’s remember this simple but powerful “Home Rule” from the Bible:

📖 “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” (Ephesians 4:2)

What does that mean for us today?

BE GENTLE: When someone is slow, loud, or annoying, choose a kind voice instead of a sharp reply. Your words have the power to calm the house or start a fire.

BE PATIENT: Don’t snap when plans change or may nagkalat. Show the same patience na binibigay sa’yo ni God.

BE HUMBLE: Kung ikaw naman ang nagkamali, be the first to say, “I’m sorry.” Humility ends the fight faster than pride.

You made it through the work week. Huwag mong hayaang Saturday stress steal your peace. Let love lead the way and make your home a safe harbor again.

Have a restful and joyful weekend!

When corruption and dishonesty are exposed, it is painful to see how deeply they wound a nation. Yet God’s Word reminds us:

📖 “The Lord detests dishonest scales, but accurate weights find favor with Him.” — Proverbs 11:1

Corruption may prosper for a moment, but it cannot stand against the justice of God. That is why one of our greatest roles as citizens is TO PRAY—to seek truth, live with integrity, and intercede for leaders who will serve with righteousness.

The battle for our nation’s future is not only fought in courts and streets, but also on our knees before God. Let us rise as a people of truth and faith, until His justice and righteousness shine over the Philippines.

Sunday is here! Araw ng pahinga. Araw ng pagsamba. Araw ng Panginoon.

📖 “I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord.’” – Psalm 122:1

Sundays are special. Hindi lang siya basta habit, it’s a time to recharge our hearts. Chance ito para iwan muna yung stress ng last week at magsimula ng panibagong linggo with God’s joy and peace.

Let’s not forget, hindi tayo meant na maglakad mag-isa sa buhay. We need each other - to worship together, pray together, and encourage one another as one family in Christ.

Kahit nasaan ka man ngayon, I pray your heart will be filled with gladness as you spend this day with the Lord.

Have a blessed Sunday full of peace, joy, and hope for the week ahead!

Don’t let life’s struggles keep your head down, lift your eyes to our God who never fails.

📖 “I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” – Psalm 121:1–2

Sometimes the problems in front of us feel too big, like mountains we can’t move. But this verse reminds us that our help doesn’t come from our own strength, it comes from God. He’s bigger than the obstacles and stronger than the worries weighing you down.

The God who created the heavens and the earth is the same God holding you today. He sees you, He hears you, and He will not let you go.

Whatever you’re carrying right now, at home, at work, or deep in your heart, don’t give up. God is your helper, and He’s right by your side.

Look up. Trust Him. Keep moving forward.

The secret to peace is not having more, but trusting God more.

Practicing contentment is not always easy. My heart sometimes longs for what I don’t have, or slips into comparing my journey with others. But God keeps reminding me, true peace is not found in possessions, positions, or achievements. It’s found in Him alone.

Contentment is believing that where I am right now, and what I have in this season, is enough because God Himself is with me. His PRESENCE is my greatest blessing, His PROVISION my daily gift.

When I pause and thank Him for the little and big things, the breath in my lungs, the roof over my head, the food on our table, the laughter of my children, the love of family, the gift of friendships, the opportunities He opens, and even the lessons in the struggles, I begin to see how rich I already am.

📖 “But godliness with contentment is great gain.” — 1 Timothy 6:6

May we learn to rest in His goodness, not striving, not comparing, but simply trusting that our Father knows what we need. In Him, we truly have enough.

What do you do when the person God calls you to love is the hardest one to love? The answer is not in our own strength, but in His.

📖 Matthew 5:44–45 - “But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven.”

We all have people in our lives na mahirap mahalin—yung laging pasensyahan, minsan unfair, minsan masakit magsalita. Our natural response is to avoid them, or worse, fight back. Pero iba ang tawag ni Jesus: to love not just the easy ones, but even the difficult ones.

And the truth is, hindi natin kaya mag-isa. Our love is often conditional and limited. Pero si Christ, His love is unconditional and everlasting. “We love because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19). When we remember na mahal tayo ng Diyos kahit gaano tayo ka-flawed (Romans 5:8), mas nagiging posible na mag-extend ng grace sa iba.

Loving difficult people doesn’t mean tolerating hurtful behavior. It means choosing to see them through God’s eyes, as people in need of grace, just like us. It means praying for them kahit hindi natin feel, and forgiving not because they deserve it, but because Christ forgave us first.

This kind of love may not change them instantly, but it will change us. It frees us from bitterness and helps us shine the light of Christ in a world full of darkness.

Piliin mong magmahal today, hindi dahil madali, but because Christ first chose to love you.
