Embraer C-390 Millennium for the Philippine Air Force?

Embraer, manufacturer of the A-29B Super Tucano used by the Philippine Air Force, offers its medium airlifter for the Philippine Air Force - C-390 Millennium.

Yesterday, Embraer conducted a demonstration of the KC-390 Millenum at Clark Air Base, Pampanga to showcase the capabilities of the aircraft to Philippine Air Force personnel. According to Embraer, the KC-390 medium airlift offers multi-mission capability with low operational cost.

Currently, the Philippine Air Force operates a variety of legacy C-130s to fulfill tactical airlift missions across the Philippines. Compared to the C-130s, the KC-390 is powered by jet-powered engines to provide faster speed at around 470 knots and modern features. While KC-390 offers an alternative platform, the Philippine Air Force has acquired three (3) C-130J-30s which are proven and tested in the Philippines for over 50 years.
