One of my 2 meals today. 💕

I’ve been naturally eating just 2 meals a day because I stay full longer on low carb. No constant snacking, no thinking about food every hour—just real, satisfying meals.

For dinner: steak, avocado, arugula, butter, and an iced black coffee. 🥩🥑

Anyone else doing 2 meals a day or intermittent fasting? I’d love to hear what’s been working for you! 👇

There was a time after I gave birth when I truly believed this would be my weight forever.

Between a new baby, work, and everyday responsibilities, I couldn’t seem to stick to a diet. Every Monday I’d tell myself, “This is it. I’m starting over.”

One Monday became one week.
One week became one month.
One month became one year…
Before I knew it, almost five years had passed.

Along the way, I started noticing changes in my body. I developed skin tags, which made me curious to learn more about insulin resistance and blood sugar. I also began checking my blood sugar with a glucose monitor and noticed my fasting readings were often higher than I wanted. My blood pressure was elevated more often than not.

Then one day everything changed.

I took my toddler to the park. It was the middle of summer, but I was wearing a jacket because I wanted to hide my stomach.

My toddler started running, and I ran after them…

Within seconds, I was completely out of breath.

I was sweating, exhausted, and struggling to keep up.

I remember standing there thinking,

“What happened to me?”

I used to love going to the gym.
I used to lift heavy weights.
Fitness used to be part of who I was.

Now I couldn’t even keep up with my own child, and I was hiding behind oversized clothes because I no longer felt confident in my body.

That was my wake-up call.

I didn’t change everything overnight.

I simply started removing carbs, one step at a time.

First sugary drinks.
Then snacks.
Then bread.
Eventually rice became less frequent, until one day I realized I didn’t need it with every meal anymore.

Slowly, the weight started coming off.

But my weight loss journey has never been a straight line.

There were weeks when the scale barely moved.
There were holidays, birthdays, setbacks, and moments when I questioned whether it was worth continuing.

There were times I felt frustrated.
Times I wanted to quit.
Times I wondered if I’d reached my limit.

But every time I chose to keep going instead of giving up, those small choices added up.

Today, I’m over 20 kg down, and while I’m still working toward my goals, I feel more like myself than I have in years.

This page isn’t about perfection.

It’s about showing up, making the next better choice, and proving that change is possible—even if it takes longer than you expected.

If you’re on a similar journey, I’d love to have you here. 🤍

I share my low-carb meals, honest updates, motivation, and the lessons I’m learning along the way—hopefully to make your own journey feel a little easier.

Follow Low Carb Glow Up, and let’s keep choosing ourselves, one day at a time. 💕
