Started in 1950s, Buklod Diwa is the official student publication of the PUP Laboratory High School. Buklod Diwa (BD) is the official publication of PUPLHS.

It started in the 1950s as Trumpet, an English newsletter, and was later renamed as the Junior Businessman in School Year 1974-1975, after the college level's publication Businessman. Matapos ang masusi at malawakang pagsasaayos sa dambana, pormal na muling pinasinayaan sa publiko ang makasaysayang bahay at museo ng ating bayaning si Apolinario Mabini sa loob ng PUP Sta. Mesa Campus nitong Disyembre 10, 2025.

Sa pangunguna ng tagapangulo ng Pambansang Komisyong Pangkasaysayan ng Pilipinas, Taga-pangulo Regalado Trota Jose Jr., at ng Tagapangulo ng Komite ng Senado sa Edukasyong Tersiyaryo, Teknikal, at Bokasyonal, at masugid na tagapagtaguyod ng pamanang lahi at kultura, Senadora Loren Legarda, layunin ng Dambana at Museo na higit na mapalapit sa mga kabataang Pilipino, partikular na sa mga Iskolar ng Bayan, ang buhay, kaisipan, kabayanihan ng Utak ng Himagsikan. Sumisimbolo ang muling pagbubukas ng Dambana at Museo sa pagkakaisang pangalagaan at muling alalahanin ang ating kasaysayan sa gitna ng modernong panahon. Nagbibigay rin ito ng karunungan at inspirasyon sa mga kabataan na magpatuloy sa pagsulong ng kapayapaan at karapatang pantao ng bawat mamamayang Pilipino.

In celebration of the LHS 71st Founding Anniversary, 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗙. 𝗥𝗲𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻, 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗥𝘂𝗯𝘆 𝗖. 𝗗𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝘇𝗺𝗮𝗻, and some 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 ’𝟴𝟱, led the inauguration of the newly refurbished LHS Library.

Driven by their shared commitment to give back, the Batch ’85 worked in unity to support the evolving needs of the school’s learning hub. Their generous contribution includes new shelves, chairs, blinds, and improved lighting—enhancements that significantly elevate the library’s functionality and atmosphere.

The whole LHS community extends its gratitude to Batch ’85 for sponsoring the refurbishment of the library. Their unwavering support and generosity have transformed the space into a more conducive environment for reading, research, and growth. Because of their dedication, students and teachers alike can enjoy a brighter, more inspiring learning haven.

The newly refurbished library now stands as a proud accomplishment to what can be achieved when alumni, students, faculty, staff, and partners unite with a common purpose. It is a renewed space that embodies community, collaboration, and a vision for enriched learning.

As part of the LHS 71st Founding Anniversary celebration, students from different sections took the stage to showcase their remarkable vocal talents. The event highlighted the versatility of LHSians—proving that they excel not only in academics but also in the performing arts, confidently sharing their wonderful voices before the audience.

The program concluded with the announcement of winners:

𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲: 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗱𝗹𝗮𝘀 of 9-Bookkeeping
𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲: 𝗞𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗲 of 8-Honesty

The winners received certificates and monetary prizes generously donated by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝟭𝟵𝟲𝟴. His support added excitement and recognition to the celebration, making the experience even more meaningful for the student performers.

The entire LHS community expresses its sincere gratitude to Mr. Joven Roberto for sponsoring the prizes for this event. His generosity and commitment to uplifting young talents continue to inspire the LHSians, fostering a culture that celebrates excellence, passion, and growth.

“𝗔 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆”—The PUP Laboratory High School celebrated its 71st Founding Anniversary last November 14, 2025 at the LHS Multi-Purpose Hall and Grounds. The celebration began with a Thanksgiving Mass presided over by Father Stephen Mifsud.

This was followed by a Convocation featuring guest speaker 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗻 from the Class of 1982, who fondly reminisced about her experiences at PUPLHS. Her heartfelt words of wisdom inspired the current batch of students to strive harder and uphold the spirit of unity in pursuing academic excellence.

After the convocation, 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔. 𝗗𝗲𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼 formally launched the project “𝘗𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘢𝘺 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥: 𝘈𝘭𝘶𝘮𝘯𝘪-𝘓𝘦𝘥 𝘎𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘐𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘗𝘜𝘗𝘓𝘏𝘚.” This initiative aims to enhance the LHS grounds through fundraising activities in collaboration with alumni members.

The celebration also showcased various student-led events, including 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲: 𝗟𝗛𝗦 𝗘𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, where students displayed their vocal talents, and the 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆’𝘀 pop-up stalls, which offered an array of snacks for the school community.

The success of this celebration would not have been possible without the support of the alumni, teachers, staff, and student organizations. It was a day filled with joy, camaraderie, and meaningful experiences for all LHSians—truly an unforgettable celebration.

The Oath-Taking of student leaders of each organization and classroom officers took place on October 17, 2025, at the Multi-Purpose Hall in the Laboratory High School building. This event occurred for each student leader in PUP Laboratory High School to pledge that they will be responsible and accountable in their positions and to use their privileges not only for their personal gain, but to also help their co-students.

During her time at PUP Laboratory High School, the guest speaker, Ms. Kristine Kyla Sabate, was a student leader whose skills were shaped by her involvement in multiple organizations. As an alumna from the Batch of 2016, she returned to deliver an inspirational message to the school's current student leaders.

With her moving words, she was able to ignite a spark within each student's heart to serve as a student leader diligently and with integrity. The speech she delivered also served as something that will drive these students to live by the oath they have taken. Again, this ceremony is not a formality, but a promise for every student leader to lead with the best of their capabilities and judgement.

Noong ika-28 ng Agosto 2025, matagumpay na idinaos ang pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika sa PUP LHS Multi-Purpose Hall.

Pinagtibay ng programa ang mahalagang papel ng wika bilang tulay sa pagkakapantay-pantay sa lipunan sa temang nakasentro sa pagbibigay-linaw at nagpapalawak ng kaalaman ukol sa mga isyung pangkasarian at panlipunan.

Pinangunahan ni Bb. Eunice B. Santiago ang isang makabuluhang talakayan na pinamagatang “Wika, Kasarian, at Lipunan: Mula sa ‘kahon’ ng kasarian patungo sa pagkakapantay-pantay.” Binigyang-diin ng talakayang ito ang kahalagahan ng paggamit ng gender-fair language at ang pagbasag sa mga umiiral na stereotype kaugnay ng diskriminasyon sa kasarian.

Layon ng talakayan na itaguyod ang paggamit ng wikang inklusibo, makatarungan, at pantay para sa lahat. Sa pamamagitan ng wika, maaaring magsimula ang pagbabago tungo sa mas bukas at mas patas na pagtingin sa bawat isa, anuman ang identidad o kasarian.
