An annual celebration of rhythm, roots, and the spirit of the highlands
Last October 11, 2025, the peaceful mountains of Barangay Namnam, San Fernando, Bukidnon came alive with the vibrant sound of the Kuglong, echoing through the valleys as communities gathered for Kauyagan Music Productions and Flor de Vista Mountain Resortβs cultural event β KOGLONG PANAGTIGUM.
This heartfelt gathering wasnβt just a performance, it was a homecoming of heritage. The Kuglong, a traditional string instrument of the indigenous peoples of Bukidnon, carries with it the stories of the land, the whisper of the forests, and the pulse of the ancestors who once played it to communicate emotion, faith, and connection.
Through the years, Bukidnonβs rich traditions have continued to inspire modern generations, and this celebration stands as a bridge between the ancient and the new. Music, art, and culture converged in a beautiful harmony that celebrated identity, peace, and the unbroken rhythm of the mountains.
Special recognition to Datu Alimuwan, Waway Saway and the Talaandig Republic, Jayson in Town, Southside Iration, and Wanuna Project for gracing the event with powerful performances β each song, each beat, a living testament to the enduring spirit of the Bukidnon people.
Their presence reminded everyone that culture is not just to be remembered, but to be lived, shared, and celebrated. It is through events like Koglong Panagtigum that we honor our roots and ensure that the next generation continues to hear the call of the Kuglong,a melody of unity, resilience, and love for the land. May this annual gathering continue to inspire pride and cultural awakening in every heart that hears the sound. π
Special heartfelt thanks to the partnership with ππππ πΏπ πππππΌ ππππππΌππ ππππππ, LGU San Fernando and to everyone who supported the event.
