Empowered to Save, Educated to Care!

Miftahus Salam Integrated Academy, Inc. successfully conducted the Basic Life Support and Mental Health Awareness Seminar in collaboration with MSU – College of Health Sciences and the Red Cross Marawi Youth Council, MSU-CHS Mental Health Advocate Club today at the MSIA Campus Grounds, Lomidong, Marawi City.

Miftahus Salam Integrated Academy, Inc. proudly wrapped up its 51st Nutrition Month celebration with a vibrant and meaningful culmination program held last July 17, 2025, at the MSIA Campus Grounds!

With the theme:
“Food at Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!”, our students showcased their talent, creativity, and commitment to health and wellness through exciting competitions and presentations:

MSIA x Suwara Publication: A Successful Outreach for Grade 7 Students

Today June 27, 2025, Miftahus Salam Integrated Academy had the privilege of partnering with The Suwara Publication of MSU-Marawi Senior High School for a meaningful community outreach and donation drive held at our Senior High School Building, HUMSS Room.

Twelve (12) selected Grade 7 students received school supplies including small notebooks, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, glue, and crayons. More than the items shared, it was the love, encouragement, and learning that truly made this event impactful.

The event started with two sets of interactive learning sessions, carefully designed to both engage and inspire the students. It was a joy to witness our young learners smile, participate, and feel seen and supported.

We express our sincerest gratitude to Editor-in-Chief Al-Ansari M. Balindong and the entire Suwara Publication team for choosing MSIA as a partner school. Your generosity and time made a big difference.

Special thanks also to the MSIA focal person and all involved in coordinating this activity. May this partnership continue to grow as we uplift more lives through shared acts of kindness and learning.

MSIA Joins the Call for Mental Health Awareness in Basic Education!

We are proud to share that our dedicated educators from Miftahus Salam Integrated Academy took part in the UPSKILLING Seminar entitled “Unlearning, Learning, and Relearning Mental Health for Basic Education,” held on June 25–26, 2025 at the PHWC Building, MSU Main Campus.

Representing MSIA were:

🔹 Mrs. Nahla A. Amerol-Sulog, LPT – Head Teacher and SSLG Adviser
🔹 Ms. Norhania M. Mangondaya, LPT – JHS Guidance Advocate

Throughout the training, our teachers participated in vital discussions on:

🕊️ The importance of baseline data collection on mental health
📜 Understanding the Mental Health Act and RA 12080
💬 Practical and basic counseling techniques
🤝 Supporting learners in various challenging situations
🎯 Applying effective strategies for learning communities in crisis

This program, organized by the PHWC, aims to capacitate school personnel with the essential tools to foster a more mentally healthy and resilient learning environment for our students.

We extend our sincerest appreciation to all parents and guardians who attended our first PTCA General Meeting for S.Y. 2025–2026. Your active participation showed your unwavering support in building a strong partnership between the school and home. Here's a look back at the highlights of the event:

📝 I. Registration and Attendance
Parents and guardians were welcomed by our registration committee and guided to their designated grade-level desks for proper attendance documentation.

🕊 II. Invocation
A student representative led a heartfelt prayer to open the event with unity and blessings.

🎶 III. Singing of the National Anthem, BARMM Hymn, and CSDM Hymn
Through an audiovisual presentation, everyone joined in solemn respect and regional pride.

🎙 IV. Welcome Remarks
Mrs. Anna-Carima E. Benito-Mindalano, our School HRMO, warmly welcomed the parent community and shared words of encouragement and shared responsibility.

🧑‍🏫 V. Introduction of Teachers and Staff (S.Y. 2025–2026)
The admin team introduced all faculty members and non-teaching staff, showcasing the committed team behind MSIA’s academic excellence.

📚 VI. General Orientation and School Updates
Ms. Norhania M. Mangondaya, LPT (Guidance Advocate), discussed important reminders, school policies, schedules, student services, and upcoming activities for the academic year.

🎓 VII. ESC Orientation for Grantees and Parents
Mr. Hamdani Lacson S. Sulog, our School Principal, provided a clear overview of the Educational Service Contracting (ESC) program — its qualifications, benefits, responsibilities, and application requirements.

🗳 VIII. PTCA Election of Officers
Facilitated by Ms. Noraisah L. Daya-an (Faculty Member & SSC Adviser), the parent body successfully elected this year’s PTCA officers, who will serve as partners in planning and supporting school programs and activities.

💬 IX. Open Forum / Q&A Session
A meaningful dialogue between parents and the school administration took place, addressing questions, suggestions, and clarifications on school operations and student welfare.

🫡 X. Closing Remarks
Mr. Hamdani Lacson S. Sulog, School Principal, concluded the event with inspiring words of collaboration, trust, and unity between MSIA and the parent sector.

A Grateful Milestone | RSPC 2025 Plaque of Recognition

We are overjoyed and deeply honored to share that Miftahus Salam Integrated Academy has been awarded a Plaque of Recognition by the City Schools Division of Marawi for our active role as one of the official Billeting Schools for Cotabato City SDO Delegation during the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) 2025.

The recognition was formally presented during the CSDM’s First Day of Service for School Year 2025–2026, a momentous gathering that celebrates the unity, dedication, and unwavering support of schools within the division.

This award is more than just a plaque—it symbolizes trust, partnership, and our commitment to serve not only our students, but the wider educational community. Opening our doors to young campus journalists from across the region was both a privilege and a memorable experience.
