𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | 𝗥𝗖-𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗖 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼 𝗗𝗲𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗨.𝗦. 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺

𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝘂𝗿-𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗵 𝗕. 𝗗𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗼, currently an RC-AKIC SHS student, was 1 of 17 youth participants from Lanao Del Sur that were selected by the Youth Ambassadors - East Asia Pacific Program 2025 (YA-EAP) for a four-week leadership intensive program in the U.S. funded by the U.S. Department of State (DOS)'s Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and implemented by PH International in coordination with DOS/ECA and the U.S. Embassy. PH has partnered with IIRR to organise and implement this program.

The 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺, centred in 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰, is known for its highly competitive and fully funded program aimed at deepening critical thinking and strengthening problem-solving and leadership skills, selecting overachieving student youth aged 15-17 around the Philippines.

The selection of participants was conducted through a multi-stage process involving the submission of written outputs, survey responses, and interviews.

Dimaporo served the U.S. exchange intensive program for four weeks, where she visited numerous landmarks such as Boston, Massachusetts; Vermont Cornwall; New York; and the capital of the USA, Washington DC.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀

September 28, Sunday — RC-AKIC Science Laboratory School successfully conducted an Induction Ceremony to honor its young student leaders. The program was held at the SLS Gymnasium and ran from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. This event emphasized that every student’s voice matters and that student leaders are ready to speak up for the voiceless.

𝗡𝗼𝗿𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗱𝗮 𝗔. 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵, Vice President External of Society of Life Sciences Students, and an alumna of RC-AKIC SLS, served as guest speaker, where she delivered a motivational message to inspire the young leaders to keep moving forward. Her line, “𝘋𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘺 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘢 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘢𝘺 𝘺𝘦𝘴,” left a mark on the minds of all participants. She reminded everyone that staying in one’s comfort zone prevents growth and that doubting your own capabilities only limits what you can achieve.

Each club president was given the opportunity to deliver a short speech. 𝘛𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘢𝘭 — to serve with dedication and make a meaningful difference in the school.

On September 20, 2025, two RC-AKICFI SLS students, 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗹-𝗛𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝗚. 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗵 𝗗. 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, badminton varsity players, successfully secured a place as 1st Runner-up in a badminton match titled 𝘞𝘦𝘦𝘬𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘉𝘢𝘥𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘯 𝘍𝘦𝘶𝘥. They have shown striking badminton skills during the competition.

The worthwhile event took place in ABM BADMINTON COURT, in Heaven Road, Marawi City. Furthermore, the competition was organised by 𝗚.𝗕.𝗔.—𝗤𝘂𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘀 and was sponsored by 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘇𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻, with his coaching skills and prowess in sports.

Six RC-AKICFI SLS students also participated in the games during the event. The following players showcased their remarkable serving skills: 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗵 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗹, 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗺𝗮 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗵 𝗠. 𝗛𝗮𝗱𝗷𝗶 𝗛𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯, 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝘂𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗖. 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝗷𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻, 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗭𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗹 𝗔𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔. 𝗠𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘇𝘇𝗮𝗵𝗶𝗿 𝗭𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮.

This event was ultimately concluded with a worthwhile play, with our dedicated players who soared in the badminton field as the school's representatives.

Classroom management is a cornerstone of effective teaching, influencing student engagement and learning outcomes. Recognizing its importance, RC-AKIC Science Laboratory School successfully conducted a seminar workshop on classroom management this Thursday, September 11. The event, themed "𝙂𝙪𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙨 𝙏𝙤𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙀𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩" took place at the SLS gymnasium from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and aimed to enhance educators' skills in fostering inclusive and effective learning environments.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗻𝗮 𝗘𝗿𝘆𝗹𝗹 𝗗. 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗲-𝗨𝗻𝘁𝗲, Faculty Regent of the Mindanao State University, led an insightful discussion, sharing key strategies for classroom management, with a specific focus on guiding educators in effectively managing a classroom where every learner feels welcomed and included.

The critical need for this seminar and workshop stems from the dynamic and evolving nature of today's classrooms. Effective classroom management is paramount for creating a conducive learning environment, minimizing disruptions, and maximizing instructional time. By equipping teachers with advanced strategies and inclusive approaches, the seminar directly addresses the challenges educators face in fostering student discipline, engagement, and academic success, ultimately benefiting the entire school community and ensuring a higher quality of education for all learners.

Taon-taon, sa bawat pagsapit ng buwan ng Agosto, ipinagdiriwang natin ang Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa. Ito ay nagsisilbing paalala na kahit ilang taon man ang lumipas, ang wikang Filipino pa rin ang ugat ng pagkakaisa ng Pilipinas at ang rason para sa samahan ng mga Pilipino. Ito ang tagapagdikit ng ating mga puso’t isipan.

Ang wikang Filipino ay ang bunga ng iba’t ibang katutubong wika, pananakop ng mga dayuhan, at ng kanilang mga pananalita. Ito ay wika ng kulay at buhay. Ang kagandahan ng lengguwaheng Filipino hindi nasusukat sa isang kataga lamang, sapagkat ito ay binuo ng samu’t-saring mga alaala, gunita, at karanasan.

Tuwing Buwan ng Wika, nabibigyan tayo ng pagkakataon na mamalas ang ligalig at kariktan nito. Nagkakaroon rin tayo ng oportunidad na magdagdag ng mga magagandang panahon at alaala—mga alaala na maipapamalas natin sa susunod na henerasyon.

Maliban sa Filipino, pinaparangalan rin natin ang mahigit isang daang mga katutubong wika ng Pilipinas. Hindi naging hadlang ang dami ng mga lengguwaheng ito sa pagkakaisa ng mamamayang Pilipino. Sa halip, ginawa natin itong rason upang ipagdiwang ang kintab at kabuuan ng Pilipinas.

Sa huli, ang wikang Filipino ang hugis ng ating pagkatao—at ng ating bansa.
