𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | 𝗥𝗖 𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗖𝗙𝗜 𝗦𝗟𝗦 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟭𝟬 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘂𝗺

​ March 26, 2026, marked the final day of official classes for RC-AKICFI SLS students, coinciding with the Grade 10 Research Colloquium held in the afternoon at the school library.

​ The esteemed panels, 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐣𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐌. 𝐆𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 and 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐫𝐚 𝐋. 𝐒𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐥, both possess extensive experience in academic research and shared thoughtful insights with the groups presenting both descriptive and experimental papers.

​ The event commenced at 1:00 PM with an invocation, followed by the introduction of the panel and a short opening speech regarding the essence of the research colloquium.

​ The student presenters were divided into two batches. The experimental groups went first to articulate their scientific studies on stage, followed by the descriptive groups, who provided thorough explanations of their qualitative research.

​ Awards and medals were officially presented to the students by the judges during the final portion of the event. To conclude the 4th Research Colloquium, the guest panelists, teachers, and students gathered for a group photo.

𝗥𝗖-𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗖 𝗦𝗟𝗦 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲𝘀' 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗳𝘁𝗮𝗿

In the midst of the holy month of Ramadan, and as we approach the grace of the last ten days of the month, it is a tradition at AKIC to hold the annual Grand Iftar as an act to collectively break fast and seek worship together.
​On March 8, 2026, RC-AKIC SLS held the Employees' Grand Iftar, themed "Reviving Sincerity (Ikhlas) in Our Work During Ramadan." The event was held at Curly Frost, a branch located on MSU Heaven Road.

​The event welcomed the guest speaker, Aleem Shanolah A. Rasuman, who shared insights about sincerity, intention, and devotion—Ikhlas—when it comes to our work and the duties we fulfill as human beings.

​Teachers, faculty, employees, and the management gathered at the venue to listen to the speeches, break their fasts, and commune. Key students from student organizations such as the Leadership Institute, Supreme Student Council, and Langkom were there to help handle and manage the event.

​After the speeches, which tackled the importance of Ramadan in alignment with responsibilities, raffle prizes consisting of souvenirs or basic Ramadan necessities were handed out during the event. The event ended with photo opportunities and a "Ramadan Kareem!"

Ramadan and the Art of Patience ❤️‍🩹

On the afternoon of March 8, 2026, Khwarizmians gathered at the RC-AKIC SLS Gymnasium for the third and final installment of the Ramadan Islamic Seminar–Lecture Series, themed “𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐡𝐚𝐧: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫.” The seminar served as a timely reflection for students as they prepare for the upcoming ten-day break leading to Laylatul Qadr.

The program began with a Qur’an recitation by a member of the Arabic Club, setting a peaceful and reflective tone for the seminar. This was followed by the opening remarks of faculty member Ustadh Nashief Ar’norol, who warmly welcomed the students and reminded them that Ramadan is a time not only for fasting, but also for nurturing faith, discipline, and good character.

The seminar featured 𝘿𝙧. 𝘼𝙗𝙙𝙪𝙨𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙢 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙢𝙗𝙖 as the guest speaker, who delivered a talk on the topic “𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒆𝒕𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒑𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑷𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑫𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑨𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒅𝒉𝒂𝒏.” In his lecture, he spoke about patience as one of the most meaningful lessons of the holy month, explaining how the self-restraint practiced through fasting and worship helps shape stronger character and deeper faith.

The program concluded with an open forum, where questions written anonymously by Khwarizmian students were read and answered by the guest speaker. Through the discussion, students were able to further reflect on the lessons shared during the lecture.

To formally conclude the seminar, a certificate and token of appreciation were presented to Dr. Disomimba in gratitude for his presence and insights. The program was smoothly guided by Ustadha Saliha L. Samsoden, who served as the master of ceremony.

The activity forms part of the school’s continuing efforts to nurture the spiritual growth and moral character of its students during the blessed month of Ramadan.

As the final session of the Ramadan seminar series, the event left students with a quiet but meaningful reminder: that the patience learned during Ramadan is not meant for a single month alone, but for the days that follow after.

Khwarizmians gathered at the RC-AKIC SLS Gymnasium on the afternoon of March 2, 2026, for the second installment of the Islamic Seminar-Lecture Series themed “Haya: The Most Endangered Islamic Identity.”

The seminar featured Hon. Dr. Abdurrahman B. Abdulsamad as the resource speaker. During his talk, he underscored the importance of haya (often translated as modesty and humility) in the lives of Muslims. He emphasized that in an age dominated by social media and digital exposure, practicing modesty in speech, action, and intention remains a vital part of preserving Islamic identity.

Students listened attentively as the speaker explained how haya shapes character and strengthens faith, especially in a generation constantly influenced by online trends and public validation.

The program concluded with a question-and-answer segment, where students were given the opportunity to write down their inquiries. The speaker addressed selected questions, further clarifying the concepts discussed during the lecture.

The activity forms part of the school’s continued efforts to nurture spiritual growth and awareness among its students.

​RC-AKIC Science Laboratory successfully held an Islamic seminar themed "The Fortress in Ramadan." The program welcomed the special Guest Speaker, Hon. Aleem Abdulwarith B. Disomangcop, who delivered meaningful messages regarding Islam and the significance of Ramadan.

​ The event, which featured a series of lectures, took place on February 26, 2026, at the school's gymnasium after the semi-final examinations. The program was also highlighted by three familiar faces to the students: Ustad Emran Cali Mangontawar, Ustad Ammar Cauyag, and Ustad Abdul Nashief A. Ar'norol. Each speaker shared insights that broadened the students' perspectives on Islam and deepened their understanding of the importance and meaning of fasting.

​ While faculty led the discussions, student volunteers were seen actively patrolling and assisting throughout the venue, ensuring the program ran smoothly. The first Islamic seminar of Ramadan 2026 left students with a renewed sense of purpose, reinforcing the school's commitment to academic excellence and spiritual growth.

On Sunday, February 22, 2026, Jamiatul Philippine Islamie conducted its Inter-School Qur’an Reading Competition in line with its 71st Foundation Day, held at the New Capitol Function Hall, Lanao del Sur, Marawi City.

Following this event was an extraordinary feat from Mr. Faheem M. Mapandi, a Grade 10 student, whose immense passion and determination allowed him to bag the 1st runner-up award in the competition.

We would like to commend Mr. Mapandi, as well as his coach, Ustadh Ammar T. Cauyag, for their unwavering dedication and efforts in bringing recognition to the school.

Khwarizmians, may this achievement be a source of pride and inspiration to always strive for excellence! 🌟✨

𝙍𝘾 𝘼𝙆𝙄𝘾𝙁𝙄 𝙎𝙇𝙎 𝙍𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙖𝙣 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

​ It is a cherished Khwarizmian tradition to worship together as one community during the holy month of Ramadan. As classes presume, students across grade levels partake in the afternoon Dhuhr prayer collectively. Every Ramadan, the school gymnasium is transformed into a prayer room for both men and women.

May this month help flourish the best versions of ourselves, with the help of our du'as and prayers, as we seek guidance from the Almighty, most Merciful God.

The students, faculty, and staff of RC-AKICFI SLS attended the annual Career Guidance and Counseling, with the theme "The Future is You: Shaping Career In the Modern Era", at the school's gymnasium, January 2026.

The morning portion of the event was for the Grade 10 students, which was led by Sir Wendel T. Lontua, a licensed professional teacher and a registered guidance counselor, whose expertise and experience helped the Grade 10 Khwarizmian students to reflect and decide on their next academic journey.

Meanwhile, the afternoon portion of the event was for the faculty and staff, which was led by Ma'am Sittie Zhaynab H. Ali, also a registered guidance counselor with a doctorate degree, whose personal insights and valuable perspectives towards professionalism resonated with the audience.

The Career Guidance and Counseling is conducted every year, helping Grade 10 students to make informed decisions on their next academic journey, and reminding its faculty and staff that discipline does not end in classrooms— it also applies to both personal and professional lives.

The RC-AKICFI SLS Community extends its sincere appreciation to the guest speakers of the event, Sir Wendel T. Lontua, and Ma'am Sittie Zhaynab H. Ali, whose valuable insights made the success of the event possible.
