LOOK: The Convergence of Bangsamoro Advocates in Ranaw Region (ConBARR) is urging His Excellency President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. the synchronization of the first BARMM Parliamentary Elections with the May 2028 National and Local Elections.

Dated July 02, 2025, the letter emphasizes that the move is not for political convenience but for constitutional compliance and electoral integrity. ConBARR argues that the Bangsamoro Organic Law and the 1987 Constitution clearly mandate synchronized elections, and that holding them in October could disrupt peacebuilding efforts and divert vital resources in post-conflict communities.

In an interview with Bangsamoro Watch Initiative, Inc., Mr. Hamadanie T. Tahir, ConBARR Co-Convenor and the author of the statement, shared that ConBARR will formally send a Resolution to the Office of the President, as well as to the Offices of Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Senate President to corroborate their call for synchronization. This was also confirmed by Mr. Abulkhair M. Alibasa, the Lead Convenor of ConBARR.

"The group maintains that this proposal will strengthen democratic fairness while sustaining the gains of peace and governance in the Bangsamoro region", the letter reads.

With the Datu who is more than just a public servant, Dr. Suharto "Teng" T. Mangudadatu. A man of honor, compassion, and unwavering dedication. His leadership is rooted in services, sincerity, faith and brotherhood, not in the pursuit of recognition or power, but in the genuine desire to serve. Datu GTM is known for having a heart that beats not just for a few, but for everyone. He is not selective when it comes to extending help; whether you’re from his community or not, his doors are open, his hands ready to serve, and his ears always willing to listen.

What makes him stand out is his deep sense of empathy and humility. He doesn’t lead from above; he walks alongside his people, sharing their burdens, celebrating their victories, and staying with them through thick and thin. He values inclusivity and treats everyone with the same respect, regardless of status or background. His leadership isn’t transactional, he gives without expecting anything in return, and he continues to serve because it is in his nature to uplift others.

He understands that true leadership is not about commanding from the top, but about building trust, creating spaces where voices are heard, and standing by those who help build the foundation of a stronger community. His team is not just a group of people working under him. They are his partners, his family, and his inspiration.

As J.Co. Weklys declared: “True leadership is not about titles or positions, but about sharing the table with those who build the foundation. A leader who listens, understands, and grows alongside their team fosters a future of strength and unity.”

Datu Suharto Teng Mangudadatu lives by this truth, not just in words, but in the way he leads, the way he loves, and the way he serves.
