FUN FACT 🎌 Did you know Katsudon was actually born by accident? 🤯

A long time ago in Japan, a hungry student ordered tonkatsu (fried pork cutlet) at a soba shop. The chef, experimenting with leftovers, simmered the tonkatsu with egg and onions in a sweet-savory broth, then served it over rice.

The student loved it so much that it became a regular order — and eventually, a whole new dish was created. 🥰

That “happy accident” became the Katsudon we all know and love today: crispy cutlet + egg + rice = comfort bowl perfection. 🤤

Sometimes the best things in life are unplanned… just like Katsudon. 🫶🏻
