"God's people have committed "two evils": they have forsaken God, the "fountain of living waters," and have dug their own "broken cisterns" that cannot hold water."

Jeremiah 2:13

Run to God first.

A little while ago, i was utterly down. Though I feel a little better now, it still feels heavy. Mind is still painfully bugged by the chaos, the issues, the things I don't know how to fix.

A little while ago, it feels sweet and peaceful to just end it all. No matter how strong willed you are, the dark knight would still get into you, whispering lies.

DON'T LISTEN.
STANDYOUR GROUND.
IT MAY BE HARD TODAY.
OR TOMORROW.
BUT THE NEXT DAY MIGHT BE A DIFFERENT STORY.
SITUATION CHANGE.
DON'T QUIT.
DON'T GIVE UP.
YOUR BREAKTROUGH MIGHT BE JUST AROUND THE CORNER.
HOLD.

Thank the CREATOR, not the creation.

The Sierra Madre mountain range is often called the “backbone of Luzon” and “the protector of the Philippines.” Its vast forests, rivers, and slopes shield many provinces from strong typhoons, making it one of the most important natural defenses in the country. Many Filipinos express deep gratitude to the Sierra Madre for saving lives and lessening disasters. However, while it is right to appreciate nature’s role, we must remember not to thank the creation more than the Creator who designed it with such purpose and wisdom.

God made the Sierra Madre not only as a mountain range but as a living sign of His care for His people. When we see how it protects us from storms, we should be reminded of God’s protective hand behind it. To thank the mountain alone is to forget the One who gave it its strength. The Sierra Madre is powerful, but it has no will of its own—it moves and stands as God commands. True gratitude, therefore, belongs to the Creator who shaped every peak, tree, and valley for the good of His creation.

When people focus only on the Sierra Madre and not on God, they risk turning nature into an idol. It is good to protect and care for the environment, but our love for creation must always lead us to love the Creator more. God entrusted the mountains to us not to worship them, but to remind us of His greatness and to teach us stewardship and humility.

In the end, the Sierra Madre is a gift—a beautiful, vital part of God’s creation that shows His power and mercy. Let us thank the mountain for its role, but let us thank the Lord even more for providing it. By recognizing the Creator behind the creation, our gratitude becomes deeper, truer, and filled with faith.

Can We Survive AI? John Lennox on Deepfakes, Death, and the Divine Upgrade

John Lennox: Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. I’m delighted you’ve come to hear a geriatric individual...

🧠 Living with AI Today

We already live with narrow AI—databases and algorithms simulating intelligence, decoupled from consciousness.

AI applications include digital assistants, online shopping, medical use, autonomous driving, and facial recognition for security—which has also been used oppressively in Xinjiang

Deepfakes pose a threat to democracy by undermining truth itself, as noted by MI5’s director general Ken McCallum .

🧭 The Moral Problem of AI
AI lacks moral understanding—no sense of right or wrong, says Joshua Bengio .

Lennox references Orwell’s 1984 and Huxley’s Brave New World, quoting Neil Postman: “Orwell feared that what we hate will ruin us. Huxley feared that what we love will ruin us.”

🌀 Fundamental Questions
Citing E.O. Wilson: "We have paleolithic emotions, medieval institutions, and godlike technology..."

AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) raises existential concerns—citing Lord Rees: we cannot be confident future super intelligences will share human values

🔮 Spectrum of Expert Opinion
Stephen Hawking warned the risk is competence, not malice.

Eliezer Yudkowsky warned that misaligned super‑AI could extinguish humanity.

Jobst Landgrebe & Barry Smith assert AGI may be mathematically impossible—a stance shared by Sir Roger Penrose

📉 Current Risks vs. Future Fears
Nature (June 2023): We should address existing societal harms from AI, not chase doomsday

Scientific American: AI erodes critical human skills, judgment, and serendipity .

🧩 Regulation & Control
Sam Altman (OpenAI) stresses regulation is essential.

Stuart Russell recommends AI be programmed to pursue human goals, remain uncertain about them, and continually learn from us

🌎 The Omega Project & Biblical Parallels
Lennox cites an MIT physicist’s "Omega Project": a totalitarian world-bracelet that tracks all, administers medicine, and executes unauthorized removal

He parallels this with the “beast” imagery from Revelation—total control and a global economy linked to a mark on the hand or forehead .

📢 Emergence of AI Worship
A new "religion" of AI worship is budding, with systems mimicking deities—omniscient, omnipresent, requiring devotion

✝️ Hope & The Divine Upgrade
Christian alternative: instead of transhumanist self-divinization via tech, faith affirms God became human in Christ.

He sees Jesus’ resurrection and promise of an "immortal body" as the ultimate "divine upgrade"
