THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS!
"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." (John 15:13)
Good Friday is the day on which Jesus Christ was crucified. It is a day of mourning and reflection, and is typically a day of fasting. Good Friday is considered a “good” day because it is the day on which Jesus sacrificed himself for the sake of humanity. It shows the greatest love of all, God sending Jesus to die for us.
God who loved us so much did not mind sending His only Son to come to save us. Let us today ask God to help us to recognize that great love that He has for us so that we can live as Jesus lived, who, in the midst of pain had compassion and asked God to forgive us. As we reflect on Jesus’ death and celebrate his resurrection in three days, let us always not forget the great love that God has for us. That's the message of the cross!
