When Evil Seems to Win

Minsan parang unfair ang buhay, pero Proverbs 14:19 reminds us: evil does not have the final word. Stay faithful, keep your integrity, and trust God's timing.

Huwag kang gumanti.
Huwag kang mag-compromise.
Keep doing what is right.

Proverbs 14:19

Stay faithful. Trust God. Keep following Jesus.

What Are You Wearing Every Day?

Hindi lang damit ang “isinusuot” natin araw-araw. Our choices, habits, words, and character also become something people see in us. Proverbs 14:18 challenges us to choose wisdom and allow Jesus to shape who we are becoming.

Pride o humility?
Anger o self-control?
Foolishness o wisdom?
Dishonesty o integrity?

Every day, our choices are shaping who we're becoming.
Hindi sapat na marami tayong alam.
We need to live what is right.

And most importantly, let Jesus shape our character.
“Simpletons are clothed with foolishness, but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.” — Proverbs 14:18

Don't just look wise. Live wisely—and let people see Jesus in you.

Don’t Let Anger Make Your Decisions

Isang moment of anger can lead to words, decisions, and actions na pagsisisihan natin later. Learn to pause, pray, and let Jesus lead your response.

Isang angry decision...
isang impulsive message...
isang revenge...
at maaaring pagsisihan natin pagkatapos.

Kapag galit ka, STOP.
Step back.
Take a breath.
Offer it to Jesus.
Proceed with wisdom.

“Short-tempered people do foolish things, and schemers are hated.” — Proverbs 14:17

Don't let temporary anger make permanent decisions. Let Jesus lead your response.

Courage Is Not the Same as Recklessness

True courage is not reckless confidence—it is faith guided by wisdom.

Confident ka ba… o reckless ka lang?

Minsan sinasabi natin:

“Kaya ko 'to!”

“Wait.”
“Think.”
“Pray.”
“Not yet.”

“The wise are cautious and avoid danger; fools plunge ahead with reckless confidence.” — Proverbs 14:16

Be bold, but be wise. Let Jesus lead your next step.

“Don’t Believe Everything You Hear”

Proverbs 14:15 teaches us to listen, think, verify, and let Jesus guide our decisions.

Stop. Check. Think.

Before you believe, ask:
“May evidence ba?”
“Totoo ba talaga?”
“Saan ako dadalhin kung susundin ko ito?”
“Does this honor Jesus?”

“Only simpletons believe everything they’re told! The prudent carefully consider their steps.” — Proverbs 14:15

Be teachable, but don't be gullible. Seek truth—and let Jesus lead your steps.

“Don’t Just Start Well—Stay With Jesus”

Proverbs 14:14 reminds us to check our direction and keep walking faithfully with Jesus.

He wants you to keep walking with Him.

“Backsliders get what they deserve; good people receive their reward.” — Proverbs 14:14

Don’t just start well. Stay with Jesus.

“You Don’t Have to Pretend You’re Okay”

Hindi lahat ng tumatawa ay masaya. Minsan, laughter is only a cover for a hurting heart. Proverbs 14:13 reminds us that distractions may hide our pain, but only Jesus can truly meet us in our brokenness.

“Okay lang ako.”

Pero deep inside, hindi talaga.
Minsan tinatakpan natin ang pain with jokes, busyness, entertainment, at smiles.
You don't have to pretend before Jesus.
Bring Him your tears.
Bring Him your failures.
Bring Him your fears.
Bring Him your broken heart.

“Laughter can conceal a heavy heart, but when the laughter ends, the grief remains.” — Proverbs 14:13

Maybe today, instead of saying “I'm okay,” simply say: “Jesus, I need You.”

“Not Every Right Feeling Leads to the Right Path”

Ask yourself:

“Saan ako dadalhin ng path na ito?”

“There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death.” — Proverbs 14:12

Check the destination before you choose the road.

What Are You Building That Will Last?

Proverbs 14:11 reminds us na ang tunay na flourishing ay hindi lang tungkol sa pera, bahay, o status—but about building a life rooted in God, integrity, and godly character.

Maganda ba ang buhay mo sa labas—but what about the foundation?
Don't just build something impressive.
Build something that will last.

it can still flourish.

“The house of the wicked will be destroyed, but the tent of the godly will flourish.” — Proverbs 14:11
