𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝗹𝘆-𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗣𝗧𝗔 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗼𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲

MNCHS School Parent-Teachers Association (SPTA) officers and teacher-representatives took their oath this afternoon at the Research & Innovation Room with Ms. Marife A. Cañares, School Principal IV, as the inducting official.

The newly elected SPTA President, Engr. Richard D. Fallega, expressed in his speech his commitment to serve the school community through transparent leadership and by initiating projects that promote the welfare of both the learners and teachers. He also shared his initial plans, which include the establishment of a deep well as an additional water source for the school and the development of a school site development plan.

Ms. Cañares, on the other hand, expressed her gratitude to the SPTA for their support and commitment to collaborate hand-in-hand with the school to better serve the learners.

Immediately after the oath-taking ceremony, the newly elected officers held their first regular meeting to discuss important matters, plans, and upcoming activities.

The said activities were successfully facilitated by the MNCHS Election Committee, which oversees the orderly and democratic conduct of annual SPTA elections.

𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧

The administration of Masbate National Comprehensive High School immediately addressed a recent concern involving a bomb threat and bomb joke posted as a comment and personal message on the school’s official page.

Upon receipt of the report, the school promptly coordinated with the Masbate City PNP. Their Provincial Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Unit (PECU) team thoroughly inspected both the Main and Annex campuses and confirmed that no improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were present. The matter has also been formally endorsed to the Anti-Cybercrime Unit for investigation of the Facebook account involved.

We strongly urge our learners and the public to refrain from sending bomb threat and bomb jokes as they are severe offenses which may lead to non-readmission next school year and referral to PNP or City Social Welfare Development Office for 1st offense and exclusion (immediately dropped from class list) and referral to PNP or CSWD Office for 2nd Offense while adults may face administrative, civil, or criminal case.

MNCHS remains steadfast in its commitment to providing a safe and secure learning environment. With the continued support of the authorities, SPTA and SDO Masbate City, the regular conduct of classes shall continue, while we further strengthen our security measures and remain vigilant to protect our learners, faculty, and community.

𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧

Masbate National Comprehensive High School (MNCHS) is addressing the recent incident involving its learners, which resulted in physical harm to one student.

The Guidance Office, together with school administrators, has already conducted a dialogue with the parents of the involved learners. Counseling has been provided, and the learners will undergo further intervention. They will also be referred to the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) Office for additional support.

MNCHS is closely monitoring the situation and has coordinated with the proper authorities to address the matter.

The school reiterates its commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and child-friendly learning environment. To instill positive values and prevent similar incidents, MNCHS regularly conducts psychosocial support activities, symposia, and anti-bullying campaigns.

We strongly urge the public to refrain from circulating the video of the incident, as it involves minors. We also encourage parents and guardians to continue guiding and monitoring their children, helping foster a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding among all learners.
