Gisiguro sa 66th Infantry “Kabalikat” Battalion ang hapsay ug luwas nga pagbisita sa Bise Presidente, lakip na ang siguridad sa mga lugar nga iyang giadtuan.

Gawas sa pagbisita, gilauman usab nga magpahigayon si VP Duterte og koordinasyon uban sa lokal nga mga opisyal aron masuta ang kahimtang sa mga bakwit ug matino ang dugang pang mga panginahanglan sa mga apektadong pamilya.

Ang lokal nga pamunuan sa Mati City nagpasalamat sa presensiya sa Bise Presidente, nga usa ka pagpakita og suporta sa mga residente nga karon nagpadayon pagbangon gikan sa epekto sa linog.

Sa usa ka live interview, mismo si Governor Nelson L. Dayanghirang nagpasabot nga nanghinaut siya nga dili na unta madugangan pa ang maong mga casualties. Dugang pa niya nga pito (7) ka ospital sa tibuok probinsya ang kasamtangang gi-evacuate tungod sa safety sa mga pasyente ug mga empleyado.

Gikabalak-an usab sa gobernador ang estado sa municipal hospital sa Manay, diin ang pundasyon niini nakitaan og mga bitak human sa linog.

Padayon pa karon ang assessment sa mga personnel sa PDRRMO (Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office) kabahin sa mga kadaot ug epekto sa linog nga nahitabo bandang alas-9:43 sa buntag, nga adunay kusog nga 7.6 magnitude.

PNP Denies False Claims Against Acting Chief, Vows Legal Action.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has denied a false Facebook post alleging that Acting Chief PLTGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. urged uniformed personnel to disobey the President's orders.

In an official statement, the PNP called the post "fabricated and malicious," aimed at discrediting the institution. The PNP reaffirmed its loyalty to the Constitution and President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., emphasizing its commitment to integrity, discipline, and the rule of law.

Authorities are investigating the source of the disinformation and warned of legal action against those responsible. The public is urged to verify information through official channels and avoid spreading unverified claims.

DepEd Personnel to Receive 2023 Performance-Based Bonus.

The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and the Department of Education (DepEd) have confirmed the approval and upcoming release of the 2023 Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) for eligible teaching and non-teaching staff.

This follows the endorsement of DepEd’s eligibility by the AO25 Inter-Agency Task Force, with strong support from President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. The bonus recognizes the crucial contributions of education personnel to nation-building.

Gitambongan sa mga Barangay Captain, Civil Society Organizations, ug mga representante sa nagkadaiyang buhatan sa lokal nga kagamhanan ang gipahigayon nga City Development Council (CDC) Meeting sa Sambuokan Hall, City Hall Compound, Dakbayan sa Mati. Si Mayor Joel Mayo Almario ang misilbi nga presiding officer sa maong panagtigom.

Gidiskusyonan atol sa miting ang tinabangay nga panan-awon alang sa kalamboan sa Mati, diin gipasiugda ang panaghiusa sa tanang sektor aron makab-ot ang malungtaron ug inklusibong paglambo sa syudad.

Sentro sa ilang panaghisgot ang Annual Investment Plan (AIP), nga nagsilbing "wishlist" sa mga prayoridad nga proyekto alang sa umaabot nga tuig. Naglakip kini og mga programa sa imprastruktura, social services, ug panginabuhian para sa tanang Matinian.

B**g Go Pushes for More Funds for Waitlisted Indigent Seniors’ Social Pension

Senator Christopher “B**g” Go called on government agencies to prioritize funding for indigent senior citizens who remain on the waitlist for social pension benefits during a Senate Committee on Social Justice, Welfare, and Rural Development hearing on Monday, September 29.

Go noted that despite the passage of Republic Act No. 11916—which doubled the monthly pension for indigent seniors from ₱500 to ₱1,000—around one million elderly beneficiaries are still waiting to receive assistance.

The senator cited encounters with elderly Filipinos who continue to work despite their age, stressing that seniors should no longer be forced to find livelihood just to survive. He urged that every peso of public funds should directly benefit vulnerable groups, warning against the misuse of government resources.

“Habang hindi pa nabibigay itong social pension, ‘yung mga kulang, sana po ay bigyan ito ng prayoridad,” Go appealed to the committee chaired by Senator Erwin Tulfo, who also championed senior welfare as a former DSWD Secretary.

In a recent Facebook post, Go also criticized alleged systemic corruption involving infrastructure funds, saying resources should instead be redirected to more urgent needs such as the social pension of seniors.

Go reaffirmed his support for the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), recalling his work with the agency in delivering aid nationwide. He likewise highlighted his filed measure, Senate Bill No. 411, which seeks to establish a national hospital for senior citizens.

“‘Wag po nating pabayaan ang ating mga lolo’t lola,” he said.

Senator B**g Go voiced full support for the Department of Tourism’s (DOT) budget, stressing its role in jobs, culture, and economic recovery. As Chair of the Senate Committee on Sports, he pushed for stronger sports tourism, citing big events like the FIBA Basketball World Cup and the ongoing FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship that brought in visitors and boosted the economy.

DOT Sec. Christina Frasco said sports tourism is now a key priority, with preparations underway for the FIFA Women’s Futsal World Championship. She also reported that tourism contributes nearly 9% of GDP and up to 16M jobs, backed by DOT programs on training, job fairs, and loans for MSMEs.

Go meanwhile raised concern over soaring local airfares, which sometimes cost more than international flights. Frasco assured that the DOT is working with airlines and transport agencies to make fares fairer and more transparent.
