Tionghentians succeeded at DSPC 2025 placing Fifth in the 𝑹𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒐 𝑺𝒄𝒓𝒊𝒑𝒕𝒘𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑩𝒓𝒐𝒂𝒅𝒄𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 (𝑹𝑺𝑩) 𝑭𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒐 𝑪𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒐𝒓𝒚 this January 13-15 at Gallanosa National High School, Irosin, Sorsogon.

The team, composed of seven members—Dranreb Baluyot and Rena Gobrin as News Anchors; A***n Celestial, Lovely Figueroa, Mitchie Baluyot, and Jayson Bisco as News Reporters; and Joeffran Figueroa as Technical Assistant—was able to simulate a radio broadcasting performance with a distinctive approach and vocal range.

As part of the School Paper (SP) Organization, the Filipino RSB category was introduced this school year (2024-2025) by SP Adviser and RSB Coach, Teacher Gabriel Garil. This marked the first time the municipality of Matnog had a representative in a Group Contest at the DSPC Secondary Level.

For the Tionghentians, this achievement serves as a stepping stone to a bigger stage and will remain in the history of the school as the beginning of a new foundation for future journalism experiences.

Spearheaded by the school’s TIC, Sir Denver Gerero, the RSB team is promised a warm celebration upon their return tomorrow, January 16.

Our school head did not made any announcement about this matter nor the teachers of the school.
