“𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀”

LOOK || The 27th Infantry (ACTION) Battalion gathered peace advocates from the Business and Labor Sectors, key pillars in preventing the resurgence of CTG activities within our Area of Operations for a 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺. The event was attended by LTC ELIEZER M BEJARIN INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer of this unit together with CPT PHILLIP K MALOGDOS (INF) PA, Bn Operations Officer, Bravo Company personnel led by 1LT CHRYSTAL CANCILLAR (INF) PA, Acting Company Commander, and Alpha Company, 1105RRBn personnel led by 1LT ARTHUR ABERGAS (RES) PA at Claud Maru Resort, Sitio Marahan, Barangay Marilog Proper, Marilog District, Davao City.

This convergence brought together Brgy. Chairpersons, managers, security officers, and representatives from construction firms, commercial establishments, and various business sectors operating within Bravo Company’s AOR, reinforcing the importance of multisectoral cooperation in maintaining peace and stability.

During the forum, participants received briefings on promoting a culture of security, emphasizing vigilance and proactive involvement in their respective workplaces. Law enforcement updates were also discussed, including essential points on existing security policies and the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020, provided by PLT ANTOLIN CARDENAS JR, Deputy Commander of Marilog Police Station, helping stakeholders better understand current regulations and operational realities.

The activity aimed to provide an overview of the existing threat situation and to share best practices in strengthening internal security measures. By enhancing organizational readiness, the forum sought to help businesses deter extortion attempts, prevent criminal activities, and better protect their facilities and personnel.

Moreover, the event served as a valuable platform for building a stronger network between security forces and local stakeholders, ensuring faster coordination and more effective responses to validated threats.

Together, we continue to promote a safer and more resilient community through collaboration, vigilance, and shared responsibility.

601st Brigade Turns Over 271 High-Powered Fi****ms, Strengthens Peace Efforts in Maguindanao del Sur

The 601st Infantry “Unifier” Brigade, led by Brigadier General Edgal L. Catu, successfully presented 271 high-powered loose fi****ms as part of its intensified campaign to curb the proliferation of illicit weapons in Maguindanao del Sur. The turnover ceremony, held at the Provincial Capitol in Buluan, gathered key officials including Major General Jose Vladimir R. Cagara of JTF Central and the 6th Infantry Division, Dr. Ferdinand Buscato of OPAPRU, Governor Datu Ali M. Midtimbang, and Congressman Esmael “Toto” Mangudadatu.

Local government leaders, police officers, military personnel, and barangay officials from 15 municipalities under the brigade’s jurisdiction also attended, showing strong support for the province’s peace initiatives in partnership with OPAPRU and the 601st Brigade. The surrendered fi****ms were processed under the national government’s Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) Program.

Beneficiaries from various municipalities went home with cash incentives and livelihood assistance from the provincial government and OPAPRU’s LNI program, reinforcing efforts to help former combatants rebuild their lives.

In his message delivered by Dr. Buscato, Presidential Assistant for Bangsamoro Transformation David B. Diciano praised the courage of residents in choosing peace. He reminded the public that the dividends of peace are now within reach following the signing of major peace agreements.

Governor Midtimbang thanked the surrenderers and urged others to follow their example, stressing that genuine peace and unity are vital for the province’s progress. Congressman Mangudadatu likewise encouraged continued support for government peace advocacies.

Major General Cagara lauded the dedication of the 601st Brigade and local leaders, emphasizing that the firearm turnover symbolizes victory, hope, and collective commitment to long-term peace and security in Maguindanao del Sur.

The newly commissioned officers will now move to their assigned units,ready to serve the nation and support the AFP’s mission of peace, security, and national development.
