โNo office has the authority to silence the peopleโs voice.โ - Malou Tiquia
In any democratic system, power is delegated, not owned. Government offices exist because the people consent to be governed, and that consent is expressed through speech, participation, and dissent. History shows that when institutions attempt to suppress voices instead of addressing concerns, they weaken their own legitimacy. Laws may regulate conduct, but they do not grant absolute power over thought, truth, or public expression. The moment an office tries to silence the people, it steps beyond its mandate and into abuse of authority.
