2 Corinthians 5:1 NIV

In our bodies, we experience aches, pain, and discomfort. And as we age, our bodies groan even more as they grow weary and start to fail us. But God promises that when we are fully united with Him in eternity, we will be equipped with imperishable bodies, not subject to pain, death, or failure. So let us endure our days in this life as we look ahead to the glorious promises of the next life.

Lord, I am thankful that You have secured a place for me in eternity. Sometimes, the aches of my body make me long to be free of the trappings of pain and suffering. And I trust in Your promise that one day I will fully know this freedom. So give me the power to persevere in this life, as I move forward with hope in You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

[2] Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, [3] because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.

When it comes to a test of faith, this quote rings true. Challenges can be met with excitement or anxiety. Life can always be viewed as a gift, although it can be very difficult to think of it like this when times are tough. With practice, devotion, and faith, it gets easier with each challenge to overcome.
