I paid a little over 1,000 pesos for a bimonthly maintenance (along with other paraphernalia involved) for my ride. The labor took an hour to an hour and a half to accomplish, and here's what I did in exchange for the time:
1️⃣ Paid ₱1,000+ pesos for the parts and services.
2️⃣Researched on things to improve the relationship with my dog.
3️⃣Read 5~10% of my current book.
4️⃣Service center had free coffee; partook.
5️⃣Learned insights on motorcycle maintenance and its intricacies from the mechanic.
6️⃣ Feel happy knowing your ride is taken care of professionally.
"Surely it isn't that hard to just DIY, right?"
Wrong.
Not only are you probably wrong, but unless you have the passion and hobby for motorcycles, it would be a waste of time. Time is valuable; make the most out of it.
